Two Weeks is NOT ENOUGH!

We rent from Jekyll Realty and our experience is always the BEST!My wife and I love to fish, bike and kayak. Reviewer Comments: We always enjoy our stay on jekyll Island, even though this stay was interrupted with a broken hip from a fall while walking on driftwoodwood beach. So we actually only stayed in house for 3 nights since I was hospitalized in Brunswick for surgery. The house was very clean and we enjoyed the few days we were there. It could use a little love to the back entrance and yard and fence that was a little run down.

ARRIVAL A : BEAUTIFUL BUT UNCOMFORTABLE

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Jekyll Island is my favorite place to vacation for 63 plus years now. Most rentals have sufficed our needs and more. Any problems have always been "fixed". The seating in the LR at Arrival A is a first. The loveseats need to be thrown away, not even given to goodwill. The only comfortable place to relax was the beds. The natural part of the island that is left is as awesome as always. I pray that it will stay there and not be ruined by adding more buildings and complexes. The CHRISTmas decor was above and beyond, as far as display. So sad that there was not any part of it that celebrated that CHRISTmas is Jesus's birthday. Political correctness was at its best and that is very sad. Your service and staff were outstanding, as always. The bargain on the bike rental was greatly appreciated. I pray that the "powers that be" will not allow JI to turn into St Simons or Tybee. The only way I would rent Arrival A again would be with assurance that the LR sofas are replaced with decent replacements Thank you, "jekyllonmymind"

Thanksgiving relaxation

We stayed for 3 nights around Thanksgiving and it was so nice and relaxing. The house was very clean and comfortable! Be sure to bring your own toilet paper and soap for both bathrooms! They provide one roll of tp even though there are 2 bathrooms and no soap, though there was Palmolive dish soap for the kitchen. Luckily I had brought my own. Bring your own beach towels too! Overall, I would definitely stay there again because it was clean and comfortable!

Arrive duplex was a favorite?

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was our 3rd time renting Arrive duplex. We love the 1 level floor plan and the fact that it has 1 king bed and 1 queen bed. It is always clean and in walking distance to the beach.The only downfall to this unit is when we tried to rebook for another trip down first of the year, we were extremely disappointed that they had raised the price over $50 more per night. You are going to price yourself out of the market that you serve, being retired traveling folks like myself. Shame on you for that!

Great location

beautiful property. We saw deer daily. Very quiet residential neighborhood. I broke my hand riding bikes there so my review is short due to the one handed typing. We would stay here again in the exact same property. Only recommendation, need a larger water heater. It cant quite handle the hot tub. Water would run out before full. Not a dealbreaker.

August 2023 Stay

We had a blast and thankfully the hurricane was not as bad as it could have been and was our first one! No matter where we went while we were there all the people were just so nice and friendly!!! Decent spot for short stay

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: On the plus side , great location on a quiet street. Comfortably slept three. Kitchen needs to be outfitted with new cookware (frying pan and cooking sheet need replacing) and some basic necessities. There wasn’t even a bowl big enough to scramble eggs. Plenty of clean towels provided, but bring your own soaps and toilet paper. The place was tidy, but floors were grimy and need deep cleaning—we noticed the bottoms of our feet got black when we stepped out of the shower. Good experience with rental company. The dishwasher didn’t start and maintenance guy showed up five minutes after calling.

Nice place, but needs a good cleaning

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Place is nice, but not kept clean. Mold in shower, dirty all about. We left early due to multiple cockroaches running around I killed a bunch of them. Talked to the office and all they said was sorry, and that I was problematic. When my wife was doing laundry and a roach fell on her shoulder and walked down her arm,that was it. We left. Real shame to cut our week short. If they would clean the place, and get the bugs out would be very nice.
