Hiking enthusiasts, discover the dry forest of Guadeloupe and the coastal paths!
The xerophilic forest of Guadeloupe is located in areas of low rainfall.
In Saint-François, in the Baie-Olive section, one of these forests remains.
Inhabited and cultivated from the abolition of slavery until the cyclone of 1928, today nature seems to have regained its rights.
The area is cut by a deep ravine which leads to the sea, the bay of Baie-Olive.
This ravine, thanks to its inaccessibility, is still a refuge for many animal and plant species.
Secret and wild, the beach of the rollers is accessible from the Caribbean Spirit on foot or by bike (1.5 km). A case of white sand which contrasts with the harshness of the Atlantic.

Confinées à Kazamo

sur une période très spéciale puisque, confinement oblige, nous n'avons pas quitté le gite, nous nous sommes félicitées d'être dans la kazamo Operation "nature et découverte " où nous avons partagés nos journées avec la faune locale : bernards- l'hermite, grenouilles, oiseaux, raton laveur, fourmis , chats, chien, etc... Une bonne semaine aussi grâce à la serenite et la gentillesse de nos hôtes Il nous faudra revenir en Guadeloupe pour découvrir le pays mais aucun regret grâce au décor et à l'ambiance chez Vincent et Valérie

Un cadre enchanteur

Nous avons passé 5 jours dans le bungalow de l'olivier .L'endroit est magique , à 10 minutes en voiture du centre ville de Saint François ,la végétation est luxuriante .Vincent nous a accueilli chaleureusement et donné pleins de conseils de lieux à visiter.Valérie a décoré avec goût et originalité chacun des bungalows . Le jardin fourmille d'objets insolites ,un vélo dans un arbre , un totem ,etc.Les gites sont bien équipés ,bien entretenus .La wifi est capricieuse ,mais quand on est vient à Esprit Caraîbe c'est pour être déconnecté. Une randonnée vers la pointe des châteaux part du gite .On peut oublier la voiture une demi journée ou plus . Pour un autre séjour en Guadeloupe sur Grande Terre nous n'hésiterions pas à louer de nouveau ce bungalow ou à le recommander à des amis.

A dreamy escape

Such an incredible off the grid experience! An artistic treehouse ideal for nature lovers and birdwatching. Spent peaceful mornings doing yoga in the terrace or relaxing in the hammock in the evenings. I recommend doing some shopping in town prior to settling in at the treehouse. Saint Francois center and marina are only 10 mins away biking and short car ride. Vincent and his wife are lovely hosts! The space they have created is simply breathtaking. Vincent accommodated my stay at such a short notice and helped me through all the adventures. Thank you! Highly recommend this unforgettable experience.

Très beau séjour atypique

Une belle semaine dans la Cabane dans les arbres. Très calme, à l'abri de tous les regards et bien agencée. Il manque peut-être un ou deux sièges confortables à l'intérieur. L'accueil de Vincent est très chaleureux et même si le wi-fi n'est pas disponible dans la cabane même, sa terrasse à 20m est à disposition pour en profiter. De plus, à cause d'une nuit de grand vent où la toiture s'est soulevée et où il a plu dans le lit ( anecdote de vacances sans conséquence) Vincent nous a remboursé la nuitée. Excellent séjour à refaire.
