This clean, fully furnished home is located in the quiet and peaceful Cathy’s Pond subdivision. You will have the entire house to yourself. It’s a spacious 3 bedroom, 2 bath with 9 foot ceilings & concrete floors throughout, galley kitchen, dining nook, laundry, living room, and a back porch overlooking a beautiful 7 acre lake. Bring your fishing gear and relax on the floating dock at sunset. Quick access to MSU using the new Hail State Blvd. and to the heart of Starkville using South Montgomery. I live in this property when it's not rented so you will find clothes in the master closet and some food in the refrigerator, but I leave plenty of space in both for my guest.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The owner stayed in touch with us and made sure we had everything we needed. Great location for proximity to Mississippi State University. Enough room that our daughter and her family were able to visit comfortably with us. Would highly recommend!
We love this location for anytime we come back to Starkville. Great for families looking for a property with a big yard for children to stretch their legs. We look forward to staying again!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The home is in a beautiful setting with the pond and we enjoyed watching the wildlife on the pond with our morning coffee. The home was very neat, clean, and had all the amenities we needed to enjoy our time there. I would highly recommend this property to future visitors in the area.
My wife and I stayed here with our three adult daughters to attend a Mississippi State graduation ceremony. Campus was only 15 minutes from this lovely, spacious getaway on a small lake in the woods! Roomy master bedroom, and a large master bath with a large tub, separate shower, and two separate sinks/mirrors. Two guest rooms were also good-sized and thoughtfully decorated. We came in December, so the fully decorated tree and the outside Christmas lights were a nice touch. Large open-area kitchen with counter, family room and kitchenette worked out great for us all. There were even two functioning fish tanks, which our daughters enjoyed watching. Separate, roomy laundry room was also handy! Couldn’t have asked for a quieter, more beautiful setting! The lake provides beautiful views and the lack of any and all city noises was SO peaceful. If this property is available for the dates you need, book it! You won’t be sorry!
We really enjoyed our stay and the home was lovely. I read previous reviews that took away 1 star due to the fish tanks, deer heads, and clothes in the closet and I must say none of those things were an issue for us. I would have gladly fed the fish if asked and the mounted deer heads were nice. We had plenty of towels and room to place our groceries and clothing. It was definitely peaceful the view from the lake and horses were beautiful. The deck wasn't accessible to sit on this trip but I will definitely reserve and highly recommend this property again. The owner had great communication and made this visit very pleasant.
We really enjoyed our stay at this VRBO. It fit our family of 6 adults perfectly. Each of us at our own room with either double/queen or king bed. There was two full bathrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, a spacious living room, and a nice backyard, where we were able to enjoy fishing and playing corn hole for the day. Although it was a little farther than had anticipated and a little tricky to find, once we did find it, it only took us about 10/15 minutes to get to Starkville. The host did an absolute superb job of making us feel comfortable and supplying us with items in case we forgot them at home. it truly felt like a home away from home. I would definitely recommend this to anyone and plan to return in the future

Country Location
The location of this house is wonderful. My husband was able to fish in the nice pond out back. The house layout is very nice and accommodates six easily. Be aware, however, that the owner lives here and there is no room for you to hang your clothes in every bedroom and there is only 1 1/2 shelves available in the refrigerator. This was not enough for our extended stay. The house was not as clean as we would have liked. He does not charge a cleaning fee and asks for a little help with cleaning before you leave which is not a problem. Since we stayed three days, we were instructed to feed the fish in his two aquariums. Just be aware this nice house has some special rules.
The property was beautiful. House was about 15-20 minutes to Downtown Starkville and campus. Home sits on a large property on a small pond. Very relaxing! Michael was very easy to work with and very responsive.
What a beautiful & tranquil getaway! The property is spacious and inviting inside and out. Great place to rest, relax, and enjoy time with friends and family. Large pond with deck for peace or fishing. House is spacious accommodating and only a few minutes from local hot spots.
Nice country get away, but close to MSU. We stayed for a bulldog baseball weekend and went to 3 ballgames. Enjoyed fishing from the floating dock and just relaxing.
This home was very nice and perfect for our weekend in Starkville. It seems like a long way to get to campus but it’s actually not bad at all. Michael was the perfect host and always responds quickly. Would definitely stay here again.
Firstly this is the best owner I have rented from. He was very easy to communicate with and made the whole process stress free. The location is a little out of the way but not bad at all, you could be on campus in 10-15 minutes. We liked the location with the pond feature and large yard. We took advantage of the outdoor fire pit and grill. Would definitely stay here again.
