Map
There are many places of interest within an hours drive. Nature reserves at Wheatfen 1 mile - to places that have hosted BBCs Spring and Autumn Watch at Pensthorpe or RSPB Minsmere both 30miles distant.
Beautiful beaches from Suffolk's jewel of Southwold to Holkham in North Norfolk are all within easy reach. For nature lovers see the seals at Horsey or birdwatching on Cley marshes.
There are many small market towns which are excellent for antique browsing try Beccles, Bungay, Holt and Burnham Market - all have an excellent array of eateries to suit all pockets.
Norwich is only 7 miles away ( a direct bus route is available until the early evening) so if you feel like leaving the car behind you can. It is a beautiful city boasting 2 beautiful cathedrals, a Norman castle as well a whole host of shopping experiences from the usual malls to the quaint and cobbled streets of The Lanes which showcase local independent shops of the highest quality. Theatres, galleries, cinemas etc. are all available here,
Alternatively just relax in the surroundings of our village which offers walks, an Art Barn linked to the local church - a contemplative space, Our own broad which has a fascinating history as well as a direct link to the famous Wherryman's way. For those who wish for a bit more action, we are on the No 1 Cycle path in Norfolk and Whittlingham Broad offers an array of water sports.
