About this property
Delightful House for Up to 6 Guests + Baby With Large Secluded Garden Area
Le Clos is a delightful house situated in a secluded area of the village of Fleury, a few minutes drive from the lively town of Villedieu-les-Poêles and approximately 30 minutes drive from many lovely, sandy beaches. To date we've welcomed guests from the UK, Ireland, France, The Netherlands, Italy, USA, Canada, Australia and Austria and we were most honoured to welcome a D Day veteran back to the region. Le Clos is the perfect setting to unwind with a glass of wine or local cider - a bottle of each is in the fridge waiting for you!
The house is easily accessible from ferry and airports and provides a perfect base for exploring the best of rural, coastal and historic Normandy or taking a trip to the Channel Islands.
Le Clos has undergone a complete professional and sympathetic renovation and extension to provide modern holiday accommodation which retains much of the character of the original building – notably oak beams, a large granite fireplace and wooden floors. Outside there is a terrace area, a lawn area and parking for several cars.

There is also a mountain bike, a selection of toys and games, beach games, a boules set, a small table tennis table and table football game.
Fleury, about a mile away, offers a bakery, garage, café / restaurant and tennis court. Villedieu-les-Poêles, a five minute drive away, offers all you would expect from a medium sized town including a supermarket and indoor swimming pool.
The practical side of things!
We aim to ensure that Le Clos has the basic things you need without wondering what to bring and what you might miss! So, in addition to cutlery, crockery, glasses and cooking utensils you will also find limited supplies of the following:
Salt, pepper, sugar, toilet rolls, washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets, soap, bin bags, cleaning materials, matches and candles (for emergency use only please).
You will also find two pillows per person, a fire extinguisher, smoke alarms, an iron, ironing board, pegs with washing line to rear, an electric kettle, TV, DVD player with a small selection of DVDs, CD player, radio, a portable BBQ and pen and paper.
Comprehensive details regarding the operation of appliances and heating systems are in the information folder to be found in the house.

About the host
Hosted by Sandrine and Jeremy Moyle

Le Clos is owned by Jeremy and Sandrine Moyle, a Franco British couple. When we are not teaching in the UK, we spend much of our time with our young family staying in Fleury where Sandrine herself spent much of her childhood.
The house, which is believed to date back prior to the French Revolution (indeed we found a Revolution coin in the floor joists!) has been named “Le Clos” after a piece of land which belonged to the house until 1998.
Le Clos was previously owned by the Duval family but had not been occupied since the 1960s. Following our engagement in 2002, we purchased the house before getting married in Fleury the following summer. Le Clos is the result of our wish to sympathetically restore and extend the house and furnish it with the best of French and British to provide delightful holiday accommodation! All visitors to Le Clos feel that we have succeeded and have loved the house and “our part of France” – we look forward to you letting us know what you think!
