Short stay in Rome

We loved the position here and the apartment was very comfortable. The host was very responsive and helpful. It was just as described and we were very happy. It was fairly pricey so we thought the cleaning fee in addition was a bit steep.

Wonderful place to stay in Rome

I stayed there with my 3 members of my family for 4 nights. The place is very clean, very pleasant with 2 balconies, walking distance to multiple attractions and very nice restaurants. We enjoyed every minute of our stay. The host is super accommodating and very responsive. He arranged our transportation to/from the apartment from the airport and to the cruise port. I couldn’t ask for a better choice than this apartment, simply wonderful!!

Fantastic Penthouse in Rome

I can't say enough about how much we enjoyed our stay in this apartment. Riccardo was the consummate host, responded quickly and thoroughly and even left us a welcome gift. The space is unique and beautiful and was perfect for two adults and two teens. The location was fantastic and allowed us to walk to the Vatican, Trastavere and more. Highly recommend!

Excellent location and responsive management

This was a perfect accommodation for our family (2 adults, children ages 10 and 8). The location is exceptionally good. The managers explained the nuances of the property (keys, terrace doors) very clearly and were highly responsive to our questions. Their restaurant recommendations were thoughtful and up-to-date as well.

Amazing Rome apartment with terraces

We were so happy with our apartment in Rome! The location was perfect, in a really nice neighborhood with a great selection of restaurants and small shops, and close to just about everything. The apartment itself was awesome, with plenty of room for the four of us (married couple plus two adult children), nice amenities and good kitchen, and a really great layout. The best though, were the lovely views each morning and evening! Riccardo was a lovely host who wanted to make sure that we enjoyed our stay.

A Perfect Roman Holiday :)

The Penthouse was absolutely lovely and truly matched the description given on HomeAway. Riccardo was in touch with us from the moment we booked his place and even set up transportation to and from the airport. Ariel was a wonderful driver and took us to other places during our stay. Our hostess Nicole was very warm and friendly and gave us a very thorough explanation of the property as well as directions to local restaurants and attractions. You can literally walk anywhere from this flat in Rome. There are many lovely shops and restaurants right around the corner. The flat was a perfect size for the three of us. The view from the terrace near the living room is breathtaking. I cannot say enough wonderful things about our stay. It was perfect. The Proscecco upon arrival was a lovely touch :) Melanie, Karen and Ethan

The perfect place to stay in Rome

We can’t thank Ricardo enough for his excellence in making sure we had the perfect stay in Rome. The apartment was absolutely beautiful; the rooms were well appointed, making the most of the light and the views, and well equipped with all modern conveniences. We were very thankful for the efficient air conditioning in each bedroom, the lounge and the dining room (so welcomed in the 37 degree temperatures). The apartment is on its own floor at the top of a beautiful historic building (thankfully with a lift), and is very safe and secure in a lovely, friendly, quiet neighbourhood two minutes walk from the Castel Sant ‘Angelo, within strolling distance of the Piazza Navona and all the main historical sights. The beds were so comfortable and the shower was very refreshing. We loved to enjoy our morning coffee on both of the lovely outside patios before heading out. The views of the domes over the rooftops, particularly as the sun sets are beautiful. Ricardo has considered every detail and comfort you will need, as well as the little extras such as fresh water and a bottle of bubbles in the fridge and capsules for the Nespresso machine. He was quick to respond to our questions and was so helpful in arranging transfers to and from the airport. We had the very best time in the beautiful, awe inspiring city of Rome and would love to return to this lovely apartment time and again.

Great apartment in Rome

What a great apartment. My wife and 10 year old son have rented vrbo apartments all over the world, and this is one of the top 1 or 2. Great city top view. Decorated with very good taste and attention to detail. You don't feel like you're in a rental apartment, but in someone's well appointed home. Unlike a lot of rental apartments where you get bare bones kitchen accessories, the kitchen is very well stocked. The artwork is tasteful. The two outdoor terraces were wonderful. The place was immaculate. The bedroom not only has centuries old exposed hardwood beams but a skylight whose ceiling curtain can be closed by a remote control. The location is excellent, near St. Peters and on a narrow side street with many excellent restaurants and a short walk to Piazza Navarro. Riccardo and his wife welcomed us to the apartment with not only the smell of freshly baked pizza bianco and a bottle of wine, but they had also stocked the freezer with grappa and also Limoncello and coffee liqueur. He also arranged cars to pick us up and drive us to the airport. The apartment contained several guide books and useful maps. Ricardo was available throughout our trip to answer questions. He made several excellent restaurant suggestions.

Super well designed & well located

This is a relative new apartment created in the garret space of a 17th century building. Whoever designed the space did an amazing job. The careful placement of so many windows, lights and mirrors makes the long and narrow space feel very open, large and stylish. There are 2 terraces, but the larger one is the star with views over the rooftops for a long distance. We were met by Sophia who showed us everything in the apartment. But, there was also an instructional manual in the apartment which was appreciated (many rentals do not have one which is a problem). The kitchen was well-equipped. The washer and dishwasher were relatively easy to use (but there was no drying rack.) The bedrooms had lots of closet space and the beds were very comfortable. The bathroom was well lighted and there were plenty of towels available. There was good Wifi, but probably not adequate for serious streaming. One quirk to be aware of: when adapting this garret space the designer had to deal the realities of the roof line. As a result there are some places where you have to step up (or down) between rooms that require some care; and and a low ceiling in the master bedroom The apartment is conveniently located: the Carrefour market is a 5-minute walk (groceries, liquor, wine, fish, meat); lots of restaurants nearby; taxis and buses easy to catch on the Corso Vittorio Emanuelle II.

Perfect location!

The location of this property is beyond 5 star! Absolutely perfect and better than expected. It is located at the south end of an adorable cobble stone street. The street changes names several times but if you look on the map, it is near Largo Ottavio Tassoni and Corso Vittorio Emanuele. Keep walking north-ish on the beautiful winding street and you end up at Piazza Navona. Everything between the apartment and Piazza Navona is picture perfect and lined with shops and restaurants the entire way. I've stayed in Rome before and had a wonderful experience, but this stay was the best in part due to our location. The location is also very convenient and walkable to the Vatican. The elevator was large enough for 4 people plus luggage and is very secure because you need a key to get to the top floor. This apartment is the only one on the top level and has its own separate and very solid door. We felt very secure and safe. The apartment itself seemed a bit smaller than shown in the Homeaway photos, but was perfectly laid out (flowed nicely). Kitchen and dining room conveniently located right next to each other with the smaller balcony next to them. The bedrooms at one end of the apartment with the bathroom in-between them. I was traveling with my 2 children and we had plenty of room, but I will say the most I would do in this apartment would be a family of 4 because of its size. It has amazing air conditioning in all rooms and it was in the 90's everyday during our stay. Very happy with the apartment amenities (beds, washer, shower, plates, closets, bathroom, etc). The owner could make a few minor updates to the place (a terrace chair needed to be fixed, but still useable, etc), but very minor and would not deter me from staying there again. The main and larger balcony was beautiful with flowers and plants (with a self-watering system) and we counted a view of 4 church-tops in view and a lovely ancient statue on the building next door. Loved having my coffee every morning on the main balcony/terrace and glass of wine in the evening. The management was flexible with check-in time and we let them know via WhatsApp our arrival time (we arrived via train from Florence) and our greeter was there waiting for us. They also provided Limoncello and wine upon arrival. Overall, cannot say enough good things about this apartment. I will stay there again if and when we return to Rome. Thank you for sharing this wonderful apartment with us.

Charming Apartment in Great Location

This quaint and nicely decorated apartment was a perfect home for our first Rome get-away. Riccardo was a gracious and friendly host. He arranged pick up to and from the airport so we did not have to worry about a thing. He had a lovely aperitif with wine waiting for us which was delicious. He responded immediately to any requests and checked in on us mid-week to make sure everything was ok. The terraces are lovely. The neighborhood is quiet and other than a strange bird that intrigued us the apartment was quiet and peaceful. The kitchen is well stocked with dishes and condiments. Both beds were very comfortable. There is little sitting room that I enjoyed for down time. Everything was clean. The shower does not have much water pressure but we're told that's normal for Rome. There was plenty of hot water. We also could have used more towels but there is a washer so we were able to wash the towels. If you do laundry you must hang everything to dry. The bidet was missing a spout so was not usable, we think, but we are Americans so maybe we just didn't know how to use it. LOL. We were able to walk everywhere from this location and see everything we wanted to see. We felt perfectly safe and often went exploring at night. We were less than a 10 minute walk from Vatican City and Castle San t'Angelo and just a short walk to Piazza Navona that was fun to walk to in the evening. The Piazza has lots of restaurants with outdoor seating and a beautiful fountain. The best gelato we had all week was just a short walk from the apartment. When you come out the door turn left toward the Piazza and it's about a block away on the right. If you come out of the door and turn to the right and then turn right again around the corner there is a nice restaurant to get pizza two doors down from the hot chocolate place. We watched a soccer game there with the locals one evening. We are in our late 50's and healthy and active and had no problem walking to the Colosseum, Forum, Trevi Fountain (I recommend seeing at night), Spanish Steps (not worth seeing) and all the main tourist attractions. We walked anywhere from 5-7 miles each day but you could easily come back to the apartment and rest and go back out if you wanted to. We stumbled upon the Borghese Museum on Sunday which turned out to be one of our favorite sites and entry is free on Sundays. Highly recommend it. We would definitely rent this apartment again. Thank you, Riccardo!!
