Franco-Senegalese couple rents room 20m² homestay (separate entrance). Ideally located in a quiet area (Patte d'Oie Builders): 15 minutes from the City Center, beach and exit from Dakar. Air-conditioned room + equipment corner (fridge, TV, microwave, coffee maker) + bathroom + private balcony. Shared access to the shaded terrace.

I had to clean the room myself, and bedding were offered to be changed only once in the week. Water in the bathroom strangely stopped and led to usage of a bucket instead. Insects were found in the bathroom and the manager explained it was because he has put a pesticide, so it was normal. All this in top of paying the bill for hydro used in the room (information provided after the room is rented and this is non refundable. The area is so unsafe, people stay inside after sunset by fear of being assaulted. Simply put, the offer is a scam.
