Septic Disaster
It turned out , shortly after arriving that the house had a Major septic tank issue. With in an hour all the bathrooms on the first floor starting backing up and we assumed that the second floor would be shortly behind that. I called the number for the management team and they had a plumber out within an hour. He found that it was a much more complicated problem than a stopped up toilet. He managed to get us one working bathroom before he left. The next day, Saturday he and three other men were there in force and at the end of the day had the whole system up and running. Although this was somewhat of an inconvenience for us, I was impressed with how had they all worked to get the system back on line. All in all it was a great long weekend in a fantastic house on a beautiful location. We want to return for another trip.

Anniversary Trip 2022
We enjoyed our stay. The view was beautiful. We picked up seafood from a restaurant on Harker’s Island. We saw dolphins one day just beyond the pier. We saw pelicans and a Great Blue Heron. We enjoyed rocking on the front porch and enjoying the sea breezes, We spend one day on Core Banks —the island with Cape Lookout lighthouse. We had dinner our last night at Red Fish Grill in Morehead City. My husband fished from the pier. We will be back.

Great Gloucester NC location
Great place to stay. Boat dock and ramp was nice and convenient. Low tide real low though...1 foot deep. House was fabulous! Plenty of rooms and bathrooms. 10 of us stayed and there were 2 extra bedrooms out of 5 upstairs not used. Downstairs master bed and bath very roomy and comfortable. Kitchen well stocked with dishes, silverware, cups,, glasses and pans. Loved having extra frig/freezer in laundry room. Did not use televisions but checked out channels...great selection! Restaurants: Amos Mosquitoes(Morehead) great great seafood, Ruddy Duck (Morehead) not so much avoid unless you're looking for a burger. Ferry to Lookout nice great service!

Peaceful Stay
This was the perfect family spot. We love being in the estuaries so this was great for us. Somewhat remote and wildlife everywhere. Saw so many shorebird and woodland species on this property. Caught many fish off the wonderful dock and even 1 stone crab and dogfish. The ocean beach is about a 30 minute drive but we didn't mind staying at the house most days with such a gorgeous bay view practically everywhere. We watched the full moon rise over the sound and it was absolutely gorgeous. House had everything we needed and then some! We would rent again.
