The Tanglewood Beach House

The Tanglewood Beach House is a sanctuary of tranquillity and sophistication, tastefully furnished to reflect a relaxed seaside lifestyle and to offer you an experience of West Coast living at its best.

The Beach House is centrally located on beautiful Vancouver Island, in the neighbourhood of Tanglewood, only minutes driving distance from Parksville, a quaint seaside community.

The 1150 square foot beach house is situated all on one level for stair-free living with two bedrooms, two bathrooms, full gourmet kitchen, dining area and living room. The open plan lends a relaxed feel with beech wood floors extending throughout the living areas to create a low allergen environment.

In the gourmet kitchen you'll find a gas range, oven, microwave, full size refrigerator, dishwasher as well as all the pots, pans, serving dishes and utensils you’ll need to cook a gourmet meal or put together tapas on the long granite island. With the impressive grocery stores, markets and artisans in the area, it is easy to relax, restore and enjoy amazing food and drink. The Tanglewood Beach House is the ideal retreat for time away with wine glasses and martini glasses provided.

Stretch out on the sofa and enjoy the 50” UHD Smart television with digital cable and DVD player. You are welcome to log into this Smart TV with your Netflix account and enjoy personal favourites. Or, curl up with a book on the window seat next to the natural gas fireplace for a lazy morning.

The Main Bedroom is furnished with a king size bed, dressed with fine cotton linens, extra pillows and down duvets and the second bedroom has a queen size bed. You'll find plush bathrobes in each bedroom closet to enjoy during your stay. Comfort and solitude are yours! If you feel like tucking in for the evening, the Main Bedroom also features a 42" television.

Both bathrooms have spacious showers, heated floors and are stocked with luxurious, plump towels. Take time to light some candles and linger in the Main Bathroom's deep soaking tub. Shower gel is provided in each bathroom.

The vaulted ceilings and windows offer beautiful views of the Fir, Cedar and Arbutus forest just outside the doors. Double French doors open onto the patio and the majestic old growth forest of Rathtrevor Provincial Park.

For your enjoyment there is a private outdoor patio with gas barbecue that opens onto a lawn and green space. And for your convenience, there is full size washer and dryer with HE laundry detergent provided.

A five minute stroll takes you down to the world renowned Rathtrevor beach. The water is calm and the sea shells plentiful along this sandy beach. The neighbourhood of Tanglewood runs along side Rathtrevor Provincial Park where you'll find walking and running trails throughout the old growth forest.

During the day build sand castles, hunt for seashells, fly a kite and roast marshmallows over an open fire on the beach. When the tide rolls in over the sun-baked sand, the warmed water is unbeatable for swimming and saltwater fun. Beach toys, cooler, wagon and beach towels are all provided for days full of exploring on the beach. There is no age restriction for the fun you can have on the beach.
