Historic Farmhouse with Pool, Hot Tub, Outdoor Shower, Stream,Barn, on 100 Acres
Highland Creek Farm is a very private 100 acre country estate with large saltwater pool and hot tub, located on top of the escarpment by Devils Glen Ski Club and 25 minutes from Blue Mountain in the heart of ski country.
The farmhouse interior was refreshed and renewed over the winter by Sarah Richardson Design, one of Canada's best known interior design firms.
A true country property, but with the convenience of being 10 minutes from the small town of Flesherton, 20 minutes from charming Creemore, and 30 minutes from the historic main street of Collingwood. With activities like golf, skiing, biking and mountain biking and spas minutes away, Highland Creek Farm is perfect for those looking to enjoy private country life with all the outdoor experiences nearby.
Summer: The farm has an extra large saltwater pool, hot tub and outdoor shower. Road bikers love the quiet country roads, with a13km ride to Eugenia at the top of miles of great road biking through the Beaver Valley. There are hundreds of acres of mountain biking trails at nearby Kolapore Wilderness Reserve as well as "technical" mountain biking at 3 Stage. It is 30 minutes from the shale beaches along the Craigleith shoreline, and 40 minutes from the giant sand beaches at Wasaga.
Fall: Enjoy miles of hiking and fall colours on the nearby Bruce Trail on the Niagara Escarpment. Check out the local wineries and cideries. Then relax in front of a big fire in the wood burning fireplace, or flip on the gas fireplace in the family room.
Winter: Devils Glen Ski Club is 12 minutes east and Beaver Valley Ski Club is 12 minutes west. Blue Mountain Village is 30 minutes north for skiing, boarding and cross country skiing, plus lots of restaurants for enjoying the apres ski. Scandinave spa is near Blue if you want to pamper yourself with hot baths, massages and other spa treatments. In winter Kolapore's trails convert from mountain biking to miles of cross country skiing. OFSC snowmobile trails nearby. Spring: Collingwood is a quaint Ontario town about 30 minutes away with a historic Main Street and the full range of services you would expect - Big name grocery stores, as well as several gourmet specialty shops like Dags and Willow, Blue Ridge Meats, a liquor and beer store, Cineplex movie theatre, several good restaurants covering the range from great dining with live music (Huron Club) to new style Mexican (Bent Taco), asian fusion (Lowdown) and many more. The village of Creemore is a short drive.
THE PROPERTY: The farmhouse is beautifully and privately situated on 100 acres consisting of open fields, surrounded by 12 acres of hardwood maple forest, and 20 acres of cedar forest, with a small creek running across the property. The farmhouse is a classic, white clapboard Ontario design, built in 1861 and carefully restored in a traditional style with all the modern conveniences. The interior was refreshed and upgraded by Sarah Richardson Design to be a comfortably luxurious version of a classic Canadian farmhouse. It’s set beautifully back from the road, so there’s lots of privacy. Highland Creek Farm is perfect for family getaways, swimming in the large saltwater pool, a weekend of golf with the guys/girls, a base for mountain or road biking, or just as a unique setting for pleasure or business.
The Pool, Hot Tub and Outdoor Shower: From the large screened porch, enjoy the view of the large saltwater pool with perennial gardens and tall cedars for privacy.
The Barn: Play some ping pong or shoot some baskets in the giant restored barn, regardless of the weather.
You can hike, snow shoe or cross country ski the trails across the property, or you can just relax on the deck by the pool and watch the clouds go by.

My family and I had the best stay here. The stunning property along with the beautiful farmhouse made for an incredibly peaceful and wonderful time. Highly recommended!
We had a fantastic time at this property! The place was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. One of the highlights was definitely the barn—it added so much character and charm to the whole experience. The pool was perfect for relaxing and cooling off, especially on the warmer days. Overall, a great spot to unwind and enjoy some peace and quiet. Would absolutely stay here again!
A wonderful stay in a charming farmhouse for a ski weekend at Beaver Valley. The host was very organized and responsive and extremely accommodating. Highly recommend!
My family and I loved being able to stay all together in such a wonderful place. Thank you to George for being such a phenomenal host. We look forward to coming back in the future!
We had our company leadership retreat at George’s farm. Everything exceeded our expectations. The beauty of the house, the peace of the surroundings, and the engagement with George. If you are lucky enough to get this place, stay tuned for an experience that out paces any other!
We had an amazing girls week! The directions were easy, accessing the house was simple. The house was well equipped. The beds were comfortable, the pool was awesome - we were poolside daily! The barn was such a fun place to hang, and the property is gorgeous. Kitchen was functional and well equipped and SO organized! The house was spotless - the cleaner did an amazing job getting it ready for us. We all said we’d love to come back.
We loved every moment of our time spent on this delightful property with its inviting pool, well-tended grounds and carefully restored and preserved, rambling old farmhouse. A mix of elegance & comfort, tradition and modernity, the house is clearly the pride & joy of its owner who was gracious and accessible throughout. Thank you George. Next year, please.
We went with a few friends who also have young kids (ages2-5) and had an absolute ball- George is very kind and responsive, the check in was a breeze and the pool, house and barn provided endless entertainment with plenty of room to roam and not be in each others ears!
We can’t wait for another visit!
We had a wonderful 3 night stay at "The Farm", there were 8 of us 6 adults and 2 kids, everyone enjoyed the space, the pool was refreshing, the barn/games were a fun activity and the kitchen was well stocked with everything you need, and it was all easy to find. Great place for a larger group. Thank you for allowing us into your home.
It was so peaceful. Such a sanctuary. So clean and gorgeous!

Thanks Jenny. I love having creative people stay at the farm, and now that I know about your cool jewellery business, I am seeing your jewellery on celebrities as well as on the people on the street. Glad you enjoyed yourselves!

Delightful property and charmed historic farm house
13 of us - a couple celebrating their 50th anniversary, thier three kids, spouses, and 6 grandchildren stayed for 5 amazing days. George was a pleasure to interact with, the property is gorgeous, amenities aplenty, and the house itself perfect for our large group to be both together and in smaller units when needed.
What an amazing property! The host was very responsive and proactive prior to our arrival. We had an amazing time at this beautiful home. So much character and history on the property. Our group made some lifelong memories together on this property and we hope to have another opportunity to stay in the future!
Great place for a quiet, quaint getaway. We went with 2 other families for new years, and had a great time. Lots of room for all of us; the property and barn all super well maintained, house is clean and updated beautifully!
Would definitely recommend. Correspondence with George was easy and he was quick to respond to any questions.

Why they chose this property
We grew up skiing in winters in the area, but discovered it's fantastic in spring, summer and fall too. Hiking, road biking, riding, fishing, golf or whatever activities you are into. This farm itself has it all - trails in the woods for hiking, fields for views, a freshwater stream, a fully restored historic farmhouse that pre-dates Canada's confederation. And a giant barn for ping pong, badminton, basketball, working out, or just hanging out.
What makes this property unique
With trails on 100 acres through the woods and along the fencerows between the fields, you can hike, mountain bike, cross country ski or snowshoe without ever leaving the property. In summer we love to eat all our meals on the screened porch overlooking the pool, or relax by the pool with a cold drink. In winter we have lots of guests for dinner in the large farmhouse dining room and relax after in front of the fire with a mug of coffee.
