Casa de Lú is located in Salinas, a town in the municipality of Archidona.
It is surrounded by mountains and beautiful hills planted with almond trees and ancient olive trees.

It is located in the heart of Andalusia. Due to its situation, it is the ideal place as a starting point to get to know a large part of the towns and cities of our community and to enjoy a quiet holiday, at any time of the year.
Granada, Seville, Cordoba and Malaga can be visited in a short time and in a short drive from our home.
The Alhambra in Granada, the Mosque of Cordoba, La Giralda in Seville, the Alcazaba in Malaga or the Dolmens of Antequera recently named a World Heritage Site.
Also in the surrounding villages, it offers us a multitude of possibilities, from knowing charming places and beautiful landscapes, historical monuments, or if we wish and depending on the time of the year, in just over half an hour we can bathe on the beaches from the Mediterranean, or enjoy a day of skiing and snow at the Sierra Nevada station.
You can also practice some active and adventure sports nearby.

every one from my 7 people party totally enjoyed the stay, something for everyone. A massive pool, a great outdoor kitchen with a freezer for drinks and a very spacious house in a very quiet village.

Relaxing Holiday

Two families travelled together, the property was exactly as advertised, large, well equipped and in a rural location. Don’t be confused with nearest beach being on the coast as this was not the case, to get to the sea it was a 45 minute drive. It was extremely hot when we were there and although all rooms were equipped with fans the bedrooms may have benefited from having air con, however having said that mosquito nets at the window meant you could leave shutters and windows open all night. Toni was lovely she met us at the property on arrival and departure and left us a lovely welcome pack, wine beer, crisps, sweets, water and soft drinks which was bc a nice touch. The local restaurant was friendly and food was good, we were able to walk to this in t he evening… we had the type of holiday we wee expecting and enjoyed every minute - Thank you

Fantastic relaxing holiday home

We loved staying here! The house is exactly as the photos, it was spacious and clean. The pool is beautiful with a great seating area and sun loungers and day beds. Two outdoor eating tables plus a dining table inside and a living room means we had lots of space for six of us and a baby. The town is cute, very tiny but we found two good restaurants in walking distance, plus two small shops for groceries. Toni and Lutz were very friendly hosts, very helpful. Their friend Emilia met us and was so kind, left us fresh vegetables from the garden and organized the bread delivery each day! Amazing service. She spoke no English but with google translate and lots of laughs we muddled through. The only problem we had was the oven light tripping the fuse but they came to fix that very quickly. We would definitely recommend this house for families or groups of friends, we want to come back here!

Beautiful place to stay…

It’s been really great stay, me and my family stayed there for 1 week and really enjoyed, I never wanted to leave the house to go and visit city, it was really cosy place, I actually like to relax on my holidays, no A/C but they provide you with fan which does the job… gas stove needs deep clean and it’s burner does not fires up properly and at some points I was scared to even turn them on…pool is kept clean… the only thing I really don’t understand or agree is that they charge you €90 for cleaning, I mean I stayed at many places but never had to pay for cleaning… even though we cleaned the whole house but still was charged… it supposed to be owners responsibility to make sure it’s clean and ready for next client… we could have left everything in mess and leave because they are going to charge us €90 anyways but we didn’t and was still charged… also bare in mind they have two different advertisement on VRBO where one indicates the €90 charge and one doesn’t and we booked it with one that doesn’t but they still charged us… but overall it was good stay… one last thing is it’s almost one hour drive away from Malaga city so plan it accordingly…

Über die Gastgeber kann man nur positiv berichten. Bei Problemen oder Fragen haben Sie immer sofort reagiert. Das Haus und seine Einrichtungen sind in teilweise in die Jahre gekommen. Angaben wie Solarium und Garage sollten die Gastgeber lieber streichen, da die nicht vorhanden sind. Eine ruhige Lage ist es auch nicht gerade (Hundegebelle Tag und Nacht/Autobahn).

Maison très agréable. Nous avons passé un très bon séjour au bords de la piscine, plusieurs espaces pour se poser à l’extérieur. Pas grand chose aux alentours mais accès rapide à l’autoroute pour les sorties. Le petit plus serait d’ajouter la clim dans les chambres. Merci à Antonia pour son accueil et sa disponibilité.

Días de relax

Hemos pasado tres días increíbles en la casa de Lu. Lo que más hemos disfrutado ha sido la zona de la piscina, barbacoa y chill out. Sin duda alguna repetiremos experiencia. Antonia , la dueña, muy amable en todo momento y la casa nos la encontramos en muy buenas condiciones de limpieza y muy bien equipada . La zona es muy tranquila. Perfecta para unos dias de relax.

Rural village retreat ideal for groups of family and friends with amazing friendly neighbours

I stayed at La Casa de Lú for 3 weeks mid July until early August this year. Great, home away from home, very comfortable, mostly peaceful and spacious with a small but fantastic pool. The villa has a very generous and well thought out outside space For dining, pool fun, bbq, sunbathing or reading a book. Amazing support from friends of the owners Emelia and Pepe are amazing, the villa shares allotment garden space and we were treated from them both to fresh picked aubergines and figs. The villa has great a living space for those wishing to shelter from the heat and relax with a large tv. Do bring your own tv memory stick or DVD player as unless you are Spanish the choice is limited, especially if kids are involved. The villa has numerous fans, but is not air conditioned so be prepared, it adds to the charm of it as the villa and you adjust to the temperature quite quickly. Casa de Lú is situated on the edge of Estacion de Salinas a very small town close to larger towns Archidona/Loja and around 45 mins to Granada, 45mins-1hr to Malaga and the airport. There is an incredible inland beach 20 minutes away via car on the side of a lake adjacent to the most beautiful picturesque hillside town of Iznajar and is a must see for bothering the lake and the views from the very top of the town or roadside sweeping in!!! We visited around 4-5 times over 3 wks (don’t be confused as I was when booking that 20mins to the nearest beach was Coastal or Malaga). I had a group of between 6-10 Family and friends come and go, and we never felt over crowded, fitted 2 cars on the drive way comfortably and even managed a 3rd just. The water pressure was inconsistent as it is a rural property and sometimes was powerful and other times nothing at all, the hosts Lutz and Antonia have fitted a adhoc switch near opposite the large bathroom entrance to boost the pressure. Be careful also to not overpower every socket or light too as easily can trip the electricity, though after day 3 or so we adapted to this wonderful old family house and it’s quirks. Shopping for food, supermercado in Archidona is the nearest, also there are plenty of smaller Dia supermarkets in most larger towns, Salinas has a chemist, 2-3 small shops, a tobacconist and a few restaurants but over in the older part of the village ... highly reccomend Casa Manolo for value and the best BBQ cooked fresh meats going!!! Perfect holiday to relax, unwind, explore Andalusia and the Spain you may rarely experience

Just fabulous!

We booked this villa blind we had no idea where we was going. We wanted somewhere authentic and homely with all the essentials for 4 adults and 6 children aging from 6-21. We’ve had the best week ever. There isn’t much to do around if you need to be mindful of this at night especially teens or if you’re looking for nights out but that’s what we wanted, we had to spend time together which was lovely. We did go into Archidona in taxis which was great and lots of places to go for drinks and food again very Spanish and lovely. The house is well equipped, maintained to a very high standard and very roomy and we felt very safe and secure. Outside is just lovely, waking up to the sunrise, birds singing and peace and quiet with little places to sit in the grounds with a coffee it’s idyllic. The owner Toni and Lutz were amazing and at hand for anything, so friendly and helpful, their daughter spoke English and we had a laugh translating. They also had someone clean the pool and tend to the homegrown vegetables outside and a lady too to come and help with any problems we had which weren’t major just how to switch things on etc, they knocked a couple of times giving us fresh produce from the garden or from their home, Spanish omelette and homemade aubergine crisp, it was so lovely. The pool and outside area is fantastic and kept exceptionally clean, there is a large fridge outside and we packed it with drinks and ice. It’s gorgeous in the day and also lit up an night. The big supermarket was around ten min drive so we did a huge shop and just nipped to the local shop for bits. Nearby there are a butchers, bakers, little supermarket and a bar. If it’s a Spanish Holiday you want away from it all and to take in a Spanish way of life surrounded by mountains, Sunshine, farmers tending to land in a beautiful home this is it. Amazing value for money and we’ll certainly be back. It’s a hidden treasure. Erika and friends UK

Finde muy agradable con amigas

La casa es muy bonita, y el lugar es agradable con la piscina. Lo hemos pasado muy bien el fin de semana y hemos estado muy a gusto, pero hay algunas cosas que hay que tener en cuenta para que no te sorprenda y llegues pensando que está todo pagado. Te piden 60€ de suplemento de limpieza (algo que es habitual), pero hay que pagarlo en la casa y pensaba que ya venía incluido en la tarifa de servicio de la web. Y aunque te cobran ese suplemento, te piden además que recojas las sábanas y las dobles encima de la cama, que todas las toallas las tienes que dejar en el baño, bien limpias la cocina de la casa y la exterior de la barbacoa, toda la vajilla colocada en sus respectivos armarios, la basura y el carbón de la barbacoa al contenedor de la calle.. ¿Si hay que limpiar todo por qué me cobran suplemento de limpieza? De papel higiénico también andan algo escasos y de bolsas de basura ni te cuento, algo que es básico en una casa. Todo esto lo aseguran con una fianza de 200€. Si haces todo bien no perderás tu fianza 😅😅 A pesar de todos estos detalles pasamos un fin de semana muy agradable.

Idéales Haus für ein Urlaub in Ruhe

Wir haben (9 Pers.) 15 Tage in dieser schönen Villa verbracht. Das Haus ist sauber, funktionell und gut ausgestattet. Salinas ist ein schönes Dorf mit kleinen geschäften und Restaurants. Die nachbarn die sich um das Haus, Garten, Swimmbad , kummerten sind sehr nett und diskret , sie waren fürsorglich für uns während unseres Aufenthaltes , wir werden sie nicht vergessen!!! Obwohl Sie nicht vor Ort leben , sind die Besitzer sehr Freundlich und aufmerksam auf die Mieter!!

Maison idéale pour passer des vacances au calme

Nous avons passé,(9pers.)15 jours agréables , dans cette belle Villa ,propre , fonctionnelle, et bien équipée. Le village de Salinas est sympa ,avec des petits commerces et restaurants. Les voisins qui s'occupent de la maison ,jardin, piscine, en l'absence du propriétaire, sont super gentils et discret, ils étaient aux petits soins pour nous durant notre séjour ,nous ne les oublierons pas!!! Bien que n'étant pas sur place, le propriétaire est très avenant et à l'écoute des locataires. Pour visiter la région , une voiture est indispensable!!!

Sin duda 100% recomendable.

Toda la familia hemos pasado un fin de semana inolvidable. Los niños disfrutaron como nunca. La casa está muy bien equipada, muy bonita y limpia. El lugar es muy tranquilo y con un montón de espacio. Los propietarios se interesaron mucho por nosotros y estuvieron muy atentos. Al no tener otro ocupante, tuvieron el detalle de dejarnos salir el ultimo día cuando quisiéramos. En definitiva muy contentos con nuestra estancia, volveremos. Sin duda 100% recomendable.
