About this property

Higbee House, your home away from home and then some.

Our large, meticulously renovated private home is art filled and furnished with our eclectic style. There are two bedrooms down with their own bathrooms. Two bedrooms upstairs share a bath. An additional flex space with daybed is upstairs as well. The beautiful gourmet kitchen is open to the living and dining areas. Although the house is not ADA compliant it does have wheelchair access on the ground floor. Our home is in the authentic Memphis. As we say, "Midtown is Memphis".

Great place for Graduation Weekend

We had 3 generations of family members in for Rhodes College graduation. This house was absolutely perfect. Wish I had found this house when my son was a freshmen. It is peaceful, beautiful and well equipped.

Wonderfully decorated and functional house. We enjoyed our stay as we hosted our son’s and future daughter in law wedding in Midtown area. We were close to everything and had a bedroom for each family member that stayed with us.

We stayed with some friends for a wedding in town, was the best place to stay!! The owner was very responsive and helpful. The house was clean and held all of us very well! I would very much recommend this place to stay when visiting Memphis!!

My friends and I stayed at the property this weekend and loved every inch of this house. Was absolutely gorgeous and conveniently located just a $10 Uber ride to Beale Street. We will definitely be back!

The best VRBO we’ve ever stayed in

We were honestly blown away by how amazing this place was…the pictures simply can’t/don’t do it justice. The location was PERFECT for walking to shops and restaurants and morning coffee…It’s right across the street from a precious park/playground (but it wasn’t ever crowded)…the house itself WAY exceeded our expectations - SUPER CLEAN, amazing spaces, the nicest kitchen I’ve ever seen in a rental property…less than 10 minutes to Overton Square and 12 min to Rhodes College…The owners were super responsive when my daughter left something behind too! I would absolutely stay here again - and plan to!

Perfect Spot While In Town for Family Wedding

Higbee House immediately reveals a warm and stylish space. It quickly became home for five of us in town for a wedding. We even hosted a little dinner party for the bride and groom. Nice mix of rooms both first and second floor accommodated my 90 year old mother. And we spent a lot of time on the porch. My siblings asked “how do you always find the most incredible places to stay!” Highly recommend.
