Only three-quarters of a mile east is Pier Park, a renowned outdoor complex with over 100 stores, a variety of restaurants, an IMAX movie theater, and dozens of other sources of entertainment. Check out such family-friendly experiences as Ripley’s Believe it or Not! Odditorium, WonderWorks, and ZooWorld Zoological Conservatory in downtown Panama City Beach (six miles east), or sit down for dinner at Margaritaville, Dick’s Last Resort, The Back Porch, or Pompano Joe’s, all of which are less than a mile east.

Reservations from March through October include beach service (two chairs and one umbrella).
Guest Registration is required for all guests. Guest registration includes parking passes and RFID wristbands. Failure to register will result in being denied check-in. Registration information will be provided in the confirmation email after booking.

The stay was very nice. The room was nice. The first day we had trouble getting a code to cool off the room , but they addressed it quickly. Elevator waits are crazy. Do not know how to fix that .

Spring Emerald Coast Cruzin 2023

This is the ideal location for this event. The condo was great except for the overwhelming smell of bleach when we first arrived. It burned our eyes and throats so much that we had to leave the patio door open while we left for 3-4 hours. After that everything went well but we spent a lot of time waiting on elevators.

The condo was clean & more spacious than I assumed it would be. The window & balcony views of the beach & the city area were very nice. I greatly enjoyed receiving the 2 beach chairs & umbrella w/ the rental of the unit. The bed was comfortable. We liked having a ceiling fan in both the bdrm & liv rm, although neither of the attached overhead light fixtures would turn on. TV instruction guides should be provided. The laundry closet door needs repair.

Rude owner, AC problems, outdated, uncomfortable bed

The AC was stuck on an Alexa schedule that the owner set at mid 70s. We were able to turn the air down briefly but it would snap back to the schedule. Required a passcode to change it and the owner refused to give it. Unacceptable. He tried to argue on the phone when Vacasa finally was able to reach him. Will never stay here again. Bed was very sloped and uncomfortable. Tiny TV in bedroom didn't have a remote and when you did get it on you couldn't hear it at full blast. Furniture and kitchenware outdated. Dirty towels under the sink. Do not recommend. Plenty of other units with better features and owners.

Last minute getaway

Our original booking at a different property was canceled 12 hours prior to check in due to mechanical issues, not much to choose from, and now we see why this property was still available. Tidewater resort was great, staff is great, the room had a great view, and I should stop there but I can’t. This unit needs a little TLC, along with adding a hair dryer, kcup coffee pot, which are items that are supplied by most units in nicer resorts like Tidewater Resort. Our biggest complaint is the thermostat which is controlled by owner, we complained 3 times about the temperature, and had maintenance look at the unit as well. At night the lowest was 73 degrees and daily was 78 degrees, this is ridiculous, tried closing the drapes to help with temperature, but then lost the view. Property manager called homeowner but temperature never changed. The freezer did not work, had to purchase ice throughout the week, and haul up 19 floors. We had to use towels along side the bed to wipe feet, due to being black from the floor before getting into bed. We did not cook or spend a lot of time in this room, maybe the floor was never mopped, Being on the 19th floor a lot of time waiting and riding on elevators. We are easy going people, and really don’t complain, but we will write this unit off our bucket list. We have stayed at Tidewater prior and have had a great experience.

Tidewater is great

The resort as a whole is fantastic. Lots of extras and goodies that you just don't see in other resorts. Our unit was clean, well stocked, furnished and very comfy with one of the best panoramic views of the ocean and the bay sides and a direct overview of the Pier Park Pavilion. Only negative was a crazy irritating whistle all day & night from the wind blowing under the front door. Sounded like a fire truck siren passing by that never left. We put a towel in front of the door which helped allot but it was so windy during our stay that the whistle of wind would still distract us from time to time. Most of the staff is great. I think the security guys need to lighten up and show more enthusiasm ( doesn't hurt to say a friendly hello either). They they mostly seem aloof, and not very warm or friendly except one older gentleman that was very nice, warm friendly and actually escorted our daughter to our unit when she made a surprise visit ( it was my birthday). He was awesome. 👍 Also, should put more attention on the floors on the ground floor around the exit to the outdoor pools, beach and the indoor Hot Tubs. Floors always seem wet and slippery. But otherwise a nice, good place and aside from this I would have given a 5.

Enjoyable

We had a great stay. Started out a little rocky when we realized the AC would not turn on and the condo was stuffy when we walked in. Could have been a little cleaner...the floors were dirty and there was some hair in the bathroom on the counter...but overall good. Bed was lumpy and needs to be replaced. We enjoyed our stay overall. Vacasa was quick to send someone to replace the thermostat so we could have AC.

Great space even for a family of 6

We got creative with bathroom and dressing schedules but otherwise this was a great space for all of us with enough places for dinner and sleeping. Kids even felt like we had our own private elevator :)

It was ok….

Not an awful condo to stay in, but could definitely use some updates. Bedding was pretty awful, bathroom kind of nasty (stain on shower curtain without a shower liner), no dust pan for the brook, and the kitchen really needed more utensils and supplies to cook with…. Overall not an awful place however my least favorite out of the other 3 condos we’ve stayed in Panama City.

Tidewater 1918

The convenience of being on the beach was nice. However, the elevators were a nightmare our entire stay. I had read the reviews saying the same and didn’t think it would be that bad, it was that bad. Sometimes waiting 30 minutes to a hour for an elevator. The condo itself was ok.
