Rentals by week from Saturday to Saturday, July through September only.

Families and children feel right at home in this clean, comfortable, contemporary house with large living/dining area, fireplace, custom kitchen, all appliances, free high-speed internet, screened porch and deck, BBQ, enclosed outdoor shower, and free access to association pool (June 15 - Sept 15) and tennis. Ferry tickets most weeks are available from owner at cost.

NOTE: Sheets, pillow cases and towels are *not* provided. You must bring your own--2 queen beds, 3 twin beds, 1 twin sleep sofa.

Located in Stoney Hill Farms in West Tisbury, Martha's Vineyard, Massachusetts. Easy bike to Lambert’s Cove Beach (3 mi.), village center (4 mi.), State Forest (1 mi.), Vineyard Haven (4 mi.). Quiet rural neighborhood with large lots. Backyard opens onto conservation land. Paved bike trails nearby. Walk-on pass included for delightful Lambert’s Cove Beach on Vineyard Sound. A Lovely House for a Great Vacation!

The house was well stocked with everything you would need for cooking, grilling with books and maps for the vineyard and its history. Both the Lamberts Cove beach pass and the pool right across the street were a big plus and a great way to avoid the crowds on a busy summer week. The central location meant you were not far from all the towns for dinner and shopping but provided a secluded peaceful location. Don't miss the awesome star gazing from the pool parking lot!

Fantastic property

We have been going to vineyard annually for 7 years now and this was hands down our favorite house. Everything about the house is organized and just makes sense. You have everything you need. Not to mention the pool access which is directly across the street. My kids loved it.

Surrounded by nature

The home is located in a quiet, forested area, away from busy island life. Due to large lot sizes, neighboring houses are barely noticeable. You are surrounded by the typical M.V. oak and shrub vegetation, birds, chipmunks, rabbits, and occasional deer. The layout of the house, with three bedrooms, two baths, dining/living room, screened-in dining porch with an additional dining area, wood-burning fireplace, fully equipped kitchen, large deck, and outdoor shower, was perfect for the four of us. The neighborhood association operates a nice swimming pool, a short one-minute walk from the house. There are tennis courts, but we preferred to play at the courts of the nearby West Tisbury School, which are in excellent shape. A network of hiking trails starts within half a mile and the vast network of bike paths in the center of the island is less than two miles away. Given the location of the home, guests can get a parking permit for Lambert's Cove Beach during July and August. Overall, we had a fantastic, relaxing time, and left refreshed and re-energized. We would rent this place again!

Great House, Location and owner!

We loved this house and will definitely consider it again if we come back with the same number of people. We were there during a heat wave, and although there are fans (in fact, we didn't have enough and William said to purchase whatever we needed to feel comfortable and he would reimburse me, which he did immediately), there is not air conditioning. This was fine for me and for my kids, but my 76 year old mother had a very hard time with the heat. She was able to cool off in the pool, which made a huge difference. The location is amazing, the pool was a great perk, the set up of the house is excellent and it was the most well stocked house in terms of cooking utensils, Tupperware, sheets, towels, beach chairs, umbrellas, that I have ever rented. William was responsive to all of our needs and questions within minutes. The house is clean and very comfortable. We really loved it, and William was the best host I have ever dealt with on VRBO, and we have rented many many times all over the world. We are already trying to figure out how many people we will have for next summer so we can make sure to reserve this house if we will fit. A wonderful vacation overall.

Great stay for our summer vacation!

Our group loved our stay at this house! We had two families of 4 and we are all extremely comfortable. The house is so well organized and well stocked (especially the kitchen!). It's also in a great central location on the island; easy to get to all towns and beaches. It made for a great week on the Vineyard!

Heavenly home in West Tisbury

We had a wonderful vacation in this beautiful home! It is peaceful, private, spacious and well equipped. We loved the screened in porch with mini ceiling lights that was the perfect spot for family board games. There was plenty of room for the five of us (1 adult and 4 teens), and the the home's location was perfect: close to everything we wanted to do. The pool across the street was an added bonus. I took advantage of the in-house book collection and read on the hammock in the evenings. We would HIGHLY recommend this property, and would love to return. Will made the whole vacation, start to finish, an absolute pleasure. Martha's Vineyard is now our happy place. ❤️

Perfect house for two active tweenagers & their grandparents

My 13 y.o. grandson announced "this house is awesome" after a quick trip to every room and a walk outside. Later, he and my 11 y.o granddaughter would, usually after several hours of kayaking or being at the beach or pool, still have energy for the ping-pong table for 1-1.5 hours. My first loves were the 2 story LR/DR, the wide board floors, comfy LR chairs, and the well supplied kitchen. Later, I was impressed with how organized everything was, to wit, I never had to ask the owners a question about where to find something or how to make it work. The temps were warm outside during our stay but the house's beautiful cross breezes kept us comfortable. Very peaceful environment. My husband reads and is not into TV so he was very happy that the wireless headsets enabled us to sit in the same room at night while I watched netflix shows. I was impressed that the kids, who did have tablets with them as the house has wifi, never asked to watch the large screen TV as they could choose to get games on their tablets or play foosball, darts, or ping-pong. I enjoyed doing my water aerobics routine at the pool. Everything was easy at this house. Having the ferry tix included made it feel like an all inclusive vacation. We enjoyed Lambert's Cove Beach, Audubon's Marine Discovery Tour and their kayak tour, visiting the Trustees' Farm Institute and their Chappy lighthouse tour and kayak tour.

Relaxing, comfortable family vacation

The house has everything you need, and Will was very helpful answering questions -- we had lots, since it was our first time on MV! The property is in a very quiet area next to conservation land which has walking and biking trails. Lamberts Cove Beach is a few miles away and is very beautiful. The water was warm enough in August for an enjoyable swim. It's just a short drive to Oak Bluffs or Vineyard Haven to shop or eat out. At night it was delightful to eat by candlelight on the screened-in porch, listening to the crickets and inhaling the sweet smell of the woods.

Another great week in a great house.

This was our second year staying at this fantastic summer/vacation home. We liked it so much last year that we didn't bother looking at any other properties. The house is centrally located on the island making it easy to get to beaches and other towns. It is a classic summer set up, but the feeling of ease and relaxation that permeates the house must be felt. The screened-in porch and deck/backyard make for a perfect place to relax at anytime of the day. The washer-dryer made traveling to the island so much easier, and there is every kitchen product you might need. Our kids loved the pool across the street as they spent a few afternoons in it during our stay. Lastly, the owners are fantastic, address and issues immediately, and are a large part of why we love the house so much. If you want a truly relaxing and enjoyable Vineyard experience, rent this house.

Stress free location for a wonderful MV vacation

My family (2+3 kids) passed a fantastic July 4th week at his wonderful house. Rarely have we rented anywhere that was so thoroughly equipped. We brought along the usual basics that you think you will need and never even had to unpack them! The kitchen is especially well stocked down to washing up products, bags etc. The house was spotless, beautiful secluded location with tennis courts and pool but centrally placed to make any day trip easy. Suffice to say, a wonderful, stress free vacation thanks to the thoughtful planning of the house owners.

Wonderful home

This home has everything and then some! We loved our stay at this exceptionally well-equiped home. The home is centrally located on Martha's Vineyard, making it convenient to all locations on the island. We enjoyed our access to Lambert's Cove, which turned out to be our favorite beach. Access to the pool right across the street was fantastic, and we also enjoyed the tennis courts. The home was clean and very well-maintained and organized. We loved grilling out and using the deck. And, the outdoor shower was perfect for rinsing off the sandy children, without tracking into the house. This will definitely be the house we rent anytime we are on the Vineyard.

Perfect Family Vacation House

My husband and I and 2 of our adult children spent a wonderful week at this very lovely and comfortable home. The kitchen has everything and anything you might need. Our chef son made some memorable dinners, using produce from the local farm stores and what turned into a daily trip to Larson's Fish Market on the dock of Menemsha. Very clean and organized, comfortable beds, 2 full baths, large family and dining room, screened-in porch, quiet area, just perfect for a family vacation on MV. The private beach of Lambert's Cove is the most beautiful on the island and one of the best spots for sunsets. Many thanks to the home owners for thinking of everything that makes their vacation home so special and easy to live in. We loved our vacation here!

Fantastic Family Friendly Vacation

We stayed the week before Memorial Day Weekend - a perfect time since the weather was nice, the crowds were nonexistent and the mosquitoes were minimal. In regards to location, the home is not in the middle of town but in a more secluded area. That said, the home is only about a 15 minute drive from the Vineyard Haven ferry and we found that we could get to a lot of places except the furthest corners of the island within 20 minutes or so by car (and you'll need a car if you have young kids). The house itself had more than enough space for three adults and two young children. The open layout on the first floor was perfect for letting the kids spread out their stuff, work on art projects, watch TV, etc. A fun extra bonus was these cordless headphones that you could put on when you watched TV at night so that you didn't keep up the ones who had gone to bed. The home was super clean and well maintained (I wish our basement was as organized and clean as this one!). Of the two queen beds, one was soft and the other firm - take your pick. We appreciated how well stocked the kitchen was in regards to dishes, pots, pans, utensils, tableware, seasonings, etc. There is a nice open backyard with a patio that was nice to use as well. As someone who loves to BBQ, I appreciated having a charcoal grill with all the necessary equipment. The pool and tennis courts are right across the street, but since it was the off-season, they were closed. Our kids ended up playing in a mud puddle in the parking lot of the pool for about an hour so all was not lost. The owner has a binder with lots of recommendations of things to do and places to see. All great ideas. We especially loved how close Lambert's Cove was and agree with the owner that it is an incredibly beautiful beach and a great reason to stay in this home. There are fishing nets in the closet that are perfect for catching crabs and such by the docks (we mainly caught seaweed, but that seemed to satisfy the kids). We especially liked Oak Bluffs. The Campground Cottages are super quaint and the campground is great for a picnic. Linda Jean's is a great family friendly restaurant with very delicious food. Stop off afterward at Mad Martha's for ice cream. There is even a carousel there but it was closed since it was the off season. All in all, a fantastic place to stay, especially with kids. We'd highly recommend this home and hope you get to enjoy all the things we did. Have fun!

This house is a perfect location for a wonderful, relaxed vacation. It is spacious and bright, very well equipped, the owners are very generous and you are invited to use everything - and the house is across the street from the community, for a family with children like us just great. Perfect!!

We have loved being in this house. It's a short ride to Vineyard Haven and Oak Bluffs and Lambert's Cove. It's wooded and private yet right across from the association pool that my children LOVE. The house is very comfortable and it's open and spacious, the kitchen well stocked with all of the necessary utensils, spices, cookware and dishes. After the hussle and bustle of walking VH or OB it is so nice to come back to the quiet of this house. The screened in porch is wonderful, and yet there haven't been many mosqitos around either. Off to Lambert's Cove for a run on the beach.

Memorial Day at 23 Stoney Hill Lane

My family had a fabulous stay at this rental home. The open floor plan was great. The house has an open airy feel to it, It has wide planked floors, and has a casual feel to it. It is in a great spot. The kids enjoyed playing basketball. the net is right across the street. It was too early for the pool or tennis courts, but that would have been perfect later in the season. That is literally across the street from the house. The house had a nice layout with full baths on each level. I had my family and my sister stay. One night a friend and her family came. We were 8 people, and we were very comfortable. The house has full internet access, cable, wireless connection, cd and dvd player, so the kid were entertained, and we could connect to work if we had to, or look up local attractions. The house is about 10 minutes from the Ferry at Vineyard Haven, and close to shops and good places to eat. The location is also close to the other parts of the Island, Edgartown, Oak Bluffs etc. We really explored the whole island and felt like the location was very central. I would recommend this for families.

We are the original owners of this delightful home on our beloved Martha's Vineyard, where we have been coming since childhood. Sharing it with others as a vacation rental made it possible for us buy it, and we've had completely positive experiences since we began in 1994.

We have had the pleasure of staying at many wonderful rentals and B&Bs, and we hope you enjoy our place as much as we have enjoyed others'. We aspire to equal the very best that we have stayed at anywhere in the world.

Why they chose this property

Why this property? Because its on Martha's Vineyard!!! That's definitely the main attraction. Why this house among others on the Island? Our first-time guests always say the house and their stay is better than expected. Maybe we need better photos! And we recognize that the exterior is not an award winner. But people always say how comfortable, well equipped, relaxing, clean and fun it is.

Our neighborhood is quiet, but not secluded. You'll see others around. Families with kids love the pool so the kids can swim multiple times every day without each time having to be a beach production. Keep in mind that it is not walkable to town. Not a good fit for those who like to find shops and amenities within strolling distance of the front door. It's great for bike riders, being near the center of the Island, and one mile down the lane to the bike path.

What makes this property unique

The house is not unique--nothing here that doesn't exist somewhere else on Martha's Vineyard. But it is a rare, complete package of a truly comfortable house, in a great neighborhood with pool, meticulously cared for and cleaned, brought to you by a family with 30 years of excellence serving guests at the highest level of care and quality.
