We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The cabin is well appointed, clean, and comfortable. We enjoyed family time, boating on the lake, a wedding nearby, and relaxing in a peaceful environment.
The hosts were responsive to questions we had prior to our trip.
This was a nice, clean, cozy cabin in a great location! My husband and I and our adult kiddos stayed here for six days to attend our family's wedding in Owingsville. It was our first time staying in a VRBO rather than a hotel. It was such a great experience that I don't think we'll ever book a hotel again! A shout-out to the hosts: Thank you for sharing your place and making it such a pleasant stay. We look forward to booking it again!
This cabin was perfect for our early season fishing trip. Very close to the lake, bait shops, and Morehead. Everything was very clean and well maintained. This cabin has all you need for a perfect family getaway. You can tell they have put some time and money into all this place. All modern appliances, along with nice bathrooms, bedrooms, and kitchen.
Very nice and fully stocked with everything you may need. Forgot your garlic powder for your ribeye? No problem, it’s there as well as all you need for morning coffee. This is our 2nd 3 night in 5 weeks.
The cabin was perfect for a cousin reunion. We particularly loved the balcony. We enjoyed watching the birds on the feeder during the day and listening to the night sounds after dark. The rain was an extra treat. We enjoyed cooking and eating in, rather than going out for meals. The kitchen was fully suppied with a variety of cookware and utensils. We all slept VERY well! Thank you SO much for a lovely stay.
Even though there were houses close to us you couldn’t tell. We had trees all around and it was so quiet and peaceful. We spent the majority of time on the porch. When/if we needed anything we sent a text and got an almost immediate response. The host even told us about a wonderful bookstore in town called the Fuzzy Duck. The host was very friendly and helpful. Would recommend this to anyone wanting a peaceful vacation.
Cabin is tucked away surrounded by woods to give you the esthetic feel of a cabin. The floors could have been cleaner, especially in the nooks and crannies. The cabin was stocked very nicely with extra necessities. Dishwasher tabs, trash bags, laundry pods, paper plates and plastic cutlery. The turn into the cabin is a very sharp left turn and it’s steep (gravel). The hosts were quick to respond when I reached out to them. Definitely would stay here again, if we didn’t have a boat needing electricity to charge. We left the boat at Stoney Cove boat ramp. The description boasts a sleeper sofa downstairs and just so you know, this is for a child or a small adult 5’ or under. The upstairs does not have a pull out sleeper sofa. The couch does have a chaise at the end of the right side. This could be an issue if you had adults planning to sleep in these spaces. I do think I saw an air mattress in the downstairs bedroom closet. I’m not sure of the size or condition. Overall, it worked great for us! I am happy with our stay.
Nice location. We were told to remove our shoes when we arrived. But it appeared that others did not. The floors were very dirty and in the kitchen there were cheerios on the floor. Everything was dusty, window sills, end tables, etc. Contacted host and was refunded the cleaning fee.
The home was comfortable and just what we needed for a quick little get away! They had lots of nice little things that made the cabin feel so much more homey and entertaining. There were several games, a well stocked kitchen (including a few snacks), and they even had everything needed for a fire (including wood!). It rained most of the time we were there, so no fire for us, but we loved that it was there if we wanted it. The floors needed a better sweeping and we needed to wipe down the counter before we began prepping things. (We honestly would do that anyway.) It is possible it was vacant for a while after it was cleaned...nothing gross. Furniture was very comfortable. Word of Advice for checking in...Save the code before you drive up to the house. We had very slow internet on our phones so I couldn't get the page to load when we first arrived. Luckily my son in law had a hotspot. No problems after that!! We loved it!
Excellant location to unwind, perfect location.
