This modern beach house features state of the art chef’s kitchen with stainless steal sub-zero refrigerator and freezer drawers, 6 burner stove with grill, double oven and oversized granite island/dining bar. Home has a spacious, open, California style floor plan. Home features an open living/dining room with a wood burning lime stone fire place, family room, separate screening room with oversized wet bar and poker table, office, master suite opening onto private custom designed mosaic pool and hot tub, 2 guest rooms with full bathrooms in suite, sauna, and powder room.

Home is furnished with custom imported furniture designed by renown SF Interior Design firm. Home was recently featured in various home and architectural publications, and was also used as a movie set and backdrop for fashion magazine photo shoots.

Former home of Jefferson Airplane lead singer Grace Slick. Grace personally designed the spectacular mosaic pool.

First of all we had a wonderful time at this stellar location. The place is a bit run down. We got three splinters from the floors needing work. The stove doesn’t work when it rains and we dad to run extension cords through the house to deal with that. There was no cable TV anywhere. And many doors don’t close. We expected better for the rates charged.

We are glad you had a great time! The house has undergone a remodel on Jan 1- March 20, 2026. Brand new wood floors, brand new quartz counters, a new Stove, and new doors. The floors were original 1927 Douglas Fir that we tried to keep to preserve the historic vibe of the home....however we have updated them all now. The home is set up with two different internet providers to support streaming on the TVs

Spectacular open living room, dining room and kitchen overlooking the surf, literally at the beach. Views were stunning and we had gorgeous weather. Check in and check out were easy and appreciate the host's flexibility with our timing. Highly recommend for a unique beachfront getaway in a very special West Marin town.

Great family reunion stay

We enjoyed our beach walks, tidal pool viewing and wading in ocean this spring. A little chilly for the gorgeous swimming pool, but the littles went in for a quick dip anyway. Great views in all rooms of the house - well fitted for a stay with a large group with kids. Thanks!

Bolinas oceanfront

Spectacular view location, luxurious accommodation with a courteous host. Fully equipped kitchen, comfortable beds, nice hot tub, sauna and media room - a short walk to the center of Bolinas. A little run down in places, could use a bit of TLC, but overall very charming.

Location and views were 5 star. The accommodations were not. Downstairs beds and bedding need updating. Fridges were not operating. Jorge the house manager tried to fix the fridges but they likely need a dedicated fridge repair person and that person was not available during our stay. Our kids slept on the foldout couches which were not well kept. We enjoyed being on the beach, but wish the house was in better condition.

Perfect Seaside Hideaway!

Traveling a lot, I have hardly seen a beachside house, which is that close to the pacific ocean! At high tide the waves are splashing the windows at the 1st floor! Thus, the view couldn’t be better! The pool is great to have and the house is well equipped! We enjoyed it a lot and the owners are very nice and easy to get in touch if needed! We definitely plan to return!

Needs better maintenance

For the rent charged, the house was in poor shape. Windows and doors off centered, kitchen cabinets that didn’t work, unhedged swimming pool. Location fantastic, but not an excuse for not doing routine maintenance.

A home ON the Pacific Ocean

My family and I stayed at this property over Christmas holiday, during a Pacific storm - thus, I am not sure our stay was typical.This property is right ON the surf. At high tide, one cannot skirt between the foundation of the house and the ocean. I have video of the ocean splashing OVER the second floor balcony at high tide. At low tide, the surfers access their lauch spots via the breaker wall of the home itself.Most times of the year, this property is a great stay for everyone. The two non-master bedrooms are on the lower floor with window facing out to the ocean. All the appliances worked perfectly - it is clear that extrodinary effort was placed on updating and remodeling this property. The hottub worked perfectly. We had want for nothing.For our particular story... the stormy waters and high breakers at high tide were scary to say the least! There were times when I dared not open the door to the balcony. There were times when the breakers were so loud against the foundation/breaker wall that I thought "man we should have done Christmas in Arizona!" Once I realized (after a good walk around the property) that the pool did not slosh, there were no cracks anywhere to be seen, and the house had been stable for 100-ish years, we all relaxed and had a great time, enjoyed the elements... outside the house!This is a beautiful property in a very unique location. The town of Bolinas is quaint. Civilization is at least 30 minutes away. Perfect!

Breathtakingly beautiful home and views, right on the ocean

I spent my 40th birthday here for 4 nights and it was the most stunning location right on Bolinas Beach with a huge acreage of land, pool, hot tub, grass, outdoor tables and lounge chairs and umbrellas. And inside the house is very clean and modern. The master bedroom and bath are on the main level. Downstairs are two bedrooms that have views looking out at the ocean with en suite bathrooms. There's a large bonus room downstairs too with a poker table, giant tv and comfy couches. There's a loft space too that is open air above the kitchen/living room with two twin beds and a desk area. The sound of waves crashing literally at the base of the house below you is magnificent.and it only takes about 3 minutes to walk into Bolinas for coffee or groceries, cute shops, and music entertainment. It was a spectacular oasis in the world and I would return again and again.

Wonderful view!

We had a great time enjoying the beautiful view of the ocean. The pool is so pretty, but very cold and not heated which was disappointing to our teens. The great ocean air has taken a toll on this house in places, but it is still quite comfortable and enjoyable. Good communication with the owners/care takers. Overall, a wonderful place to enjoy the ocean!

Bolinas Getaway!
