About this property

Convienent and Affordable West Glacier Lodging - Beargrass Lodging #1

Located just 11 miles to the entrance of West Glacier National Park, 16 miles to Whitefish Mountain and 23 miles to Kalispell. We are Beargrass Lodging & RV Resort. Unit #1 is a two bedroom duplex. Each bedroom has 1 Queen bed, kitchenette and 1 bath. It is part of a 2 unit side by side duplex. Enjoy our outdoor heated swimming pool (July 1 - Sept. 15) or cozy up each evening at our communal fire pit or BBQ your dinner at one of our 2 provided BBQs! We have onsite coin operated laundry, a gift shop with Made in Montana gifts, snacks and complimentary coffee/tea. We DO NOT provide daily maid service. We DO promise to launder all linen, including your duvet cover and blankets between EACH and EVERY guest. We are happy to replace towels and upon request and replace linenes upon request for longer stays of 4+ nights.
Our motto is "Simple Made Perfect" and we strive to make your stay relaxing and comfortable.

Great Location!

We stayed here during our visit to Glacier National Park and it couldn't have been more perfect. It's a great location, everyone was really friendly and the place was clean and cute. The kids loved coming back and swimming in the pool after a long day of hiking. We would definitely come back here.

Great stay

Everything was clean and just as promised. It is close to West Glacier and getting to the park is easy. The staff was friendly and helpful. We would stay here again.

Nothing short of amazing

Location, cleanliness, amenities, service, this one had it all. Our own unit was spotless when we arrived, updated and exactly per the description. The owners were so attentive and kind. The common areas were meticulously maintained and having gas grills for some home cooked dinners was amazing. My son enjoyed swimming in the pool and we all enjoyed the frisbee golf. On site laundry facilities was a plus. Close proximity to Glacier, grocery stores and restaurants. The traffic noise did not bother us at all, we even slept with our window open facing the highway. We would definitely recommend Bear grass to our friends and family!

Great spot!

This was the cutest little spot! Quaint but all we needed as we spent most of our time exploring glacier and whitefish!! Perfect location to get to glacier. All the amenities we needed and a good price . Will definitely stay here again

Two night stay to visit Glacier National Park

This property is in a great location -- close to Glacier National Park. The cabin was clean and had essentials needed to cook/eat. We enjoyed having a nice breakfast and making lunch before heading out for the day. Proximity to Columbia Falls gave ample restaurant selections for dinner. Enjoyed our time here!

Hello! We are Duane and Donna Byrd, the owners of Beargrass Lodging and RV Park. We are delighted to be operating the Beargrass Lodging and RV Resort, formerly known as the Crooked Tree Motel and RV Park since 1948, for our first season in 2020. As local residents we are excited to share the natural beauty of Glacier National Park and the surrounding area. We have a long family history of living in the West Glacier area. In 1946, our grandparents moved to the Canyon to help build the Hungry Horse dam.

We strive to provide a comfortable, clean, and enjoyable stay for each of our guests. Attention to every detail is carefully crafted from providing necessary rentals to keeping our beds cozy and comfortable. We offer all white bedding with all-season duvets. All linens including duvet cover and blankets are freshly laundered between each and every guest! We do not offer daily maid service in our rooms, however we are happy to replace towels and linen if requested during longer stays.

We are passionate about our environment with our pristine rivers and lakes, majestic mountains and our National Park, we are proud to be Eco-Friendly.
