We loved spending about 2 1/2 weeks at Diane & Alastair’s Wester Derry Farms. We had what we needed and loved the peaceful setting. Would definitely recommend.
Can't recommend a stay at Hazel Lodge highly enough. Great hosts, came to check we settled in fine and were on hand for any queries we had. House is beautiful, spotless, well stocked, comfortable beds. Such a peaceful, tranquil spot. The games barn was great fun and was well used. Sure we will be back again
We have a great time at the cottage as a family with kids and friends, lovely place, amazing views, very supportive owner, great communication. Around cottage there is some walking trails, easy ro walk with kids, beautiful water fall nearby, there is also lovely farm with homemade food.Definitely highly recommend.
Plenty space, comfy beds, all items you could need. Host was lovely, so friendly and helpful. EV charger was easy to use. Scenery was lovely. We went to recharge our batteries after my sons wedding and we're all well rested. Really enjoyed ourselves. Thank you to Alistair and Di.

'The Kennedy's'
Arrived at this well appointed 3 bedroom detached lodge with log burning fire. Spotlessly clean with freshly made Tiffin on the kitchen table to welcome us. (which was yummy). Met by owner soon after our arrival, who extended a warm welcome and offered any assistance we may need during our stay. The games barn provided entertainment for old and young, Would highly recommend a stay at this location. thank you 'The Ramsay's' we will be back.x
Before arriving Diane called me and messaged making sure our holiday started without any hiccups.
On arrival entering the property it was spotless the house was warming we were left a welcome pack which we appreciated very much.
We settled in very comfortable with all utilities supplied and logs for the fire.
The garden well maintained and very secure for our dog it was lovely to sit out on the patio even with a house next door it was very secluded
The games room was also very good we never really used it as all my kids are grown up.
There is nothing worst than an uncomfortable bed but I have to say the beds were extremely comfortable
There are 2 bathrooms 1 wet room fantastic and the other was a shower over bath which I never used but my kids wished there was a hand rail to get in and out
This house is definitely disable friendly
We will definitely return
Thank You for a fantastic Holiday and for being wonderful hosts Diane and Alistair
We really enjoyed our stay at Hazel Lodge. Everything was catered for including an enclosed garden for the dog !! Weather was not fabulous and we enjoyed playing Trivial Pursuit on a particularly rainy day. Spotlessly clean and great to meet the owner. We will return !!
We had a fantastic 2 weeks here, our kids and us, had great fun in the mill playing all the games. It is a very comfortable and spacious house, Loki the dog had a super time too. We will be back 😊
Great property in great location. Owner was instantly on hand for any questions. Had a fantastic, relaxing stay. The Games Room was the icing on the cake for our Teenage Son. Will definitely be back
Excellent accommodation. The games barn is great for rainy days. It feels very peaceful and remote despite being not that far from local amenities. Lintrathen loch is nice and Peel Farm scones are awesome!
This is a really lovely property. Very clean, cosy and kitted out with everything you need for a relaxing break. Lovely wee gift waiting on us - a nice touch and a friendly welcome. While the house is next door to the owners you are never bothered, although they are on hand if needed. Great enclosed garden for dogs and stunning views outside the property. We didn't go anywhere for the week other than to take our dogs walks around the area - lovely views and perfect if you want a really relaxing break.
Lovely property, plenty of space. Easy to get to other places and just as lovely to stay and chill.

Short stay in June
Three generations of our family, plus the dog, stayed for three nights at the beginning of June. We had a welcoming bottle of wine and Alistair soon popped over to make sure everything was alright. The cottage was immaculate with everything you could possibly need and the Ramsays were very helpful, including the younger ones. We enjoyed the Highland games at Glamis Castle and the Reekie Linn falls were well worth a look. Also had a good evening meal at the Alyth Hotel. Would recommend the cottage and area to anyone.

Perfect
We booked Hazel Lodge for our family holiday whilst visiting friends in Dundee. The house exceeded our expectations. Large, well equipped and immaculate. The owners Alistair and Diane checked in with us a few times, and were always on call if needed. Whilst in a rural location there is lots to see and you can reach many locations within a hours drive. We wouldn't hesitate return to the house for future holidays.

Stunning Wester Derry
We rented Hazel Lodge for one week. It is in a beautiful location the house is spacious and clean and the owners friendly and welcoming.
The barn play facilities were great and kept our kids amused whilst we prepared dinner etc.
It was an ideal location to visit Glen Shee, Blairgowrie, Kirriemuir, Dundee.
Our kids loved the log burning stove and ice cold tap water (a novelty coming from Australia)
I would very happily recommend this property to friends it is great for families. It is everything you could wish for in a holiday home. Thank you. Our boys enjoyed a kick around with the boys from the farm too!
The soon to be added wifi to the house will be the icing on the cake. (Wifi was available intermittently in the barn)
