About this property

Self-Catering Vacation Home with Horses

This fully equipped 40-square-meter holiday rental combines charm and comfort in a completely natural setting. It features a bedroom with a queen-size bed, a large bathroom with a shower, and a lovely, fully equipped kitchen (dishes, utensils, dishwasher, oven, refrigerator, and hob). The living area includes the dining room and a sitting area with a sofa bed and TV. There’s a terrace and plenty of open space right out front. The house is located in a small hamlet on the GR420 trail and just 5 minutes from the village of Vernoux-en-Vivarais.

Accommodation
A unique accommodation at an elevation of 600 metres in the Monts d’Ardèche Natural Park. Peace and tranquility in a natural setting. Welcome to our small farmhouse surrounded by wide-open spaces, horses, chickens, and cats. An outdoor area of 5 hectares featuring alternating chestnut forests and rolling meadows. The 40-square-meter cottage is ideal for two couples or a family with two children. Horseback riders are welcome to bring their horses; pastures are available. Endless hiking opportunities with stunning views of the Ardèche Mountains and the Alps.
A small hamlet in the town of Vernoux-en-Vivarais. Ideal for hikers—set off right from the house without needing a car. We can recommend many hiking routes. A lively village with 7 restaurants, 1 pub/café, bars, a cinema, a public swimming pool, and a lake with a beach for swimming. There’s a wonderful farmers’ market on Thursday mornings and Sunday mornings in July and August. We’re 1 hour and 15 minutes from Mont Gerbier des Joncs and Mont Mezenc. Valence is just 30 minutes away.

Guest Access
The entire property is yours to enjoy, including the front yard. The horse pastures are fenced with electric wire, marking the boundaries of your designated area. Riders are welcome to bring their horses; special rates are available upon request.
We’d be happy to show you the orchard, the chicken coop, the permaculture garden, and the horses.
During chestnut season, we can point out the best spots in our forest for gathering a basketful.

During your stay
We live in the house next door on the same property but have a separate entrance. We have no neighbors directly across from us, but I’m available and can be reached every day.

Other notes
It is prohibited to enter the horse paddocks without our permission. Any pets travelling with you must be disclosed at the time of booking.

Un séjour très agréable

Un joli gîte bien aménagé et propre, avec tout ce qu’il faut : comme à la maison mais en mieux avec ce cadre magnifique. La literie est confortable, il fait vraiment bon vivre dans ce petit cocon paisible et propice à la détente. Allez-y les yeux fermés c’est une pépite 🤩

Nous voulions du calme, du grand air et des chemins de balades magiques, et tout y est. Alison et Florent ont fait un vrai petit cocon dans lequel nous nous sommes senti "comme à la maison" pendant quatre jours.

Huisje is leuk en goed. Inclusief. Airco.

Huisje ligt op een zeer rustige plek. Mag er vuurtje stoken en hond is geen probleem. Mocht er ook loslopen. Afstand dichtstbijzijnde dorp is 5 km. Alles met de auto doen. Maar voor de rust komen is super.

Petit coin au calme avec accès sur toutes commodites

Location idéale pour un séjour en famille à 4. Plusieurs chemins d rando sont à proximité offrant ainsi la possibilité de profiter de la nature sans devoir prendre un véhicule motorisé. Les propriétaires sont discrets mais présents en cas de besoin. Nous conseillons cet établissement et renouvèlerons probablement une location
