The Amherst Shore County Inn Cottage is a waterfront property. It is located in a fairly private location with a large lot on a small bank and a beautiful view of the sea.
The beach is perfect for exploring at low tide. It is accessed by a set of stairs onsite. You can literally walk for miles on the ocean floor when the tide is out. In the summer season the water is warm enough to swim. The water is deep enough for swimming for a few of hours on either side of the high tide mark.
While the cottage maintains its rustic charm, it is up-to-date with most of the modern conveniences including WiFi, Satellite TV, a dishwasher and a whirlpool tub. Please note as a seasonal cottage it is not insulated and there isn't air conditioning,... just the ocean breeze.

My wife and I just spent a week there and it was so relaxing. The cottage was clean and have anything you need. The view of the northumberland strait is fantastic and you can walk for miles at low tide. Mary and Rob are great host and they are available if needed. We plan to go back next year for another week.
The property was clean and didn't show any adverse effects of last years hurricane...very quiet and right on the shore.
We enjoyed fires in the fire pit provided and watched the sunset....Due to its rural setting the stars are amazing clear.
The accommodations are very rustic...The beds were comfortable. I strongly recommend the meals at the Inn. The best we had during our stay.
A hidden gem. Watch the tide roll in and out by the outdoor fireplace. Swim at high tide and walk the bay at low. The inn serves a fabulous breakfast and gourmet meal for supper. Mary bakes the best scones, breads and deserts and Rob is a top notch chef. Great place to get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. We will be back.
Property has great ocean views and is very quiet and relaxing. Cottage is very cozy and clean and well equipped. Location is situated near a couple of provincial parks and close enough to Amherst to be able to pick up groceries when needed but not so close as to feel like you never got away.

La vue était merveilleuse, bien équipé. Le mobilier et le lit (Queen) pourraient être plus confortables
