This 18th Century stone built cottage is located in the village of Tanygrisiau near to Blaenau Ffestiniog and can sleep four people in two bedrooms.

Glan-yr-Afon Cottage is an 18th Century, stone built cottage in a residential lane in the village of Tanygrisiau, less than 2 miles from Blaenau Ffestiniog in North Wales. The cottage has one double bedroom and one single with an additional pull out bed, which with the addition of a family bathroom make it suitable for four people. The cottage also contains a fitted kitchen and a sitting room with a dining area and a multi fuel stove. Outside the cottage is an enclosed front garden with furniture and off road parking for one car. Set in the middle of the Snowdonia National Park and with stunning views, Glan-yr-Afon Cottage is a superb cottage in a stunning location.

Amenities: LPG central heating with multi-fuel stove in sitting room. Electric oven, gas hob, microwave, fridge, washer/dryer, Smart TV with freeview, DVD player, iPod dock with radio, WiFi. Good selection of DVDs and books. Fuel, power and starter pack for multi-fuel stove inc. in rent. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Off road parking available on first come, first served basis in allocated parking bays opposite cottage. Enclosed front patio with picnic bench. Enclosed, private rear patio with garden furniture. Two well-behaved dogs welcome (downstairs only, please bring own dog beds and towels). Sorry, no smoking. Pub 20 mins walk. Lakeside Cafe 3 mins walk. Shops and amenities 1.6 miles. Note: Front patio is gated and enclosed by a 3' 5" stone wall.

Town: Tanygrisiau was famous for its slate mining, producing a high quality black slate that was used across the world. Its railway station is on the famous Ffestiniog Railway, a narrow gauge railway built to carry slate from the mines down to the sea at Porthmadog, today it is a renowned tourist attraction.

Well earned break

Outstanding every thing in the property you could wish for from the welcome pack for the humans to the much appreciated welcome pack for the dogs ! As always packed all kinds of bits "just in case " could have just turned up with a bag with my clothes in from tea/coffee etc to butter milk wine chocolate /toiletries logs for the fire /dog blankets treats the list was endless spotlessly clean and cosy would recommend it in a heart beat ,every question in the welcome book answered before you even thought of it
