This is a terrific away-from-the-crowd getaway. Minimalist in style, magical views, and the most amazing and attentive host, Pierre.
The property sits at the top of a rather steep hill (note to mobility challenged). At the moment, it is surrounded by several houses and condos in various stages of construction. Consequently, the days can be noisy, but the evenings are bliss. Looks like it will be several years before the entire development is complete. Just be aware.
The furnishings are minimalist to the point of Spartan, which worked for us. People looking for warm/fuzzy or lots of doodads will not like it. The pool is the game changer. Although it is small, we used it constantly. The deck and hangar style door to the kitchen area work beautifully for an all-pupose outdoor space.
When desired, you can close off the living and sleeping area with sliding doors. The heat pump upstairs is terrific, just remember to look for the "snowflake icon" to make sure it gets cold enough.
We had trouble with all the electronic details, which did not seem at all intuitive. Fortunately Pierre was willing, patient, and available to give us instruction (also daily French vocabulary lessons). A notebook full of printed instructions in English would be very helpful.
We stayed a looooooong time, two months. Loved being up and out of the crowd, with lots of time to explore both sides of the island. Many thanks to Pierre for a spectacular adventure!
