Not Transparent
The online listing shows a dome with a transparent roof and so, when we booked this space, we expected to enjoy the clear night skies of Montana through this roof. We imagined lying in bed, swaying to the rythm of the forest, staring at the sky! What we got though, was a cold, opaque dome with not an iota of warmth or views. The circular shape of the dome makes the bed arrangement strange so one person is sleeping too close to the wall of the dome. The slippery mattress or the swaying of the dome pushes this person to the edge. Slowly but surely, I found myself sliding and eventually hitting my knee on one of the poles of the dome! The linen was average at best. We received one blanket and despite requesting some more, did not receive any extras. The dome is not conducive to lounging. We exited as early as possible both mornings. There are two bathrooms shared by more than 11 cabins+domes. The bathrooms had courtesy signs about cleaning up after use, but the lack of more pointers (such as, cleaning clothes are under the cabinet and deposit cleaning cloths in laundry basket after use) made it difficult for any of the guests to do much cleaning. The only thing we liked was the availability of well-cut firewood. We regret booking this listing and would have rather stayed in our own tent.

Super friendly owners. They were very accommodating. We loved the community atmosphere. They had yard games to play, a large fire pit, and even showed a movie on an outside projector. The tree house cocoon was unusual, but once we got situated it was really comfy and we slept great. Plus we have a fun memory! If you are a light sleeper I would recommend earplugs as you can hear the traffic on the road nearby.

Loved the idea of the cocoons. They cabins are also beautiful.. great property. The owners are very welcoming and even upgraded us to a cabin because it was too cold for the cocoon. Enjoyed our stay Immensely! Can't wait to return when its warmer to try out that cocoon.
