I moved to the Coachella Valley full time in 2002. At that same time, I put my reservation down for this property when it was still just dirt and lived with my parents for a year, waiting for it to be completed. I've lived in the main house since 2003 and could not be happier with my decision to move to Palm Desert and to buy this house.

In November of 2017, my husband and I decided we wanted to build the Casita - as a place for my in-laws to be able to stay with us when they visit from Italy, and as a rental property. It was a true labor of love and patience, as we wanted this Casita to be amazing and a reflection of everything we would want, if we were going to be living in it ourselves. In December of 2019, we finally completed the Casita. I am happy and proud to say that we definitely achieved everything we had hoped for when we started this project.

There are not many Casitas that provide a private sanctuary for one or two people to enjoy an upscale, comfortable, clean, and incredibly functional space. This is one of those very unique places. For anyone who is looking for a private, clean and quiet space that is conveniently located in Palm Desert, there is no better place. The high ceilings and open concept main living area, make the space feel bigger than its approximately 500 sq. ft. size. With a 5-burner gas range, full size gas oven, full size over-the-range microwave, refrigerator and freezer with built-in automatic ice maker, and plenty of storage and prep space, the kitchen area is incredibly functional for anyone who wants to be able to prepare their own meals. The dining area is sleek and functional, with an expandable table that can comfortably seat up to six people when expanded, but works really for 2-3 people in its usual configuration. We provide a small desk, for those who have to study or do work from home. The bathroom has a gorgeous shower with a sliding barn-door style glass enclosure, and the walk-in closet is ridiculously large for the 1-2 people intended to occupy the Casita. The private patio with outdoor furniture, umbrella for shade and a propane BBQ are also fantastic, as are the dedicated washer and dryer that are provided for the use of those staying in the Casita. The Casita is just a really special place, and we could not be happier with how it has turned out. We hope that all of our guests will feel the same way!
