Lakefront Family Home on Lake Martin with Private Boat Launch
Tucked into a quiet slough on Lake Martin, this lake house has been the backdrop of family summers for decades. For 30 years, our lake home has been a place for slow mornings, full coffee cups on the screened porch overlooking the lake, kids swimming until their fingers wrinkle, and long evenings spent together playing board games and connecting after the sun goes down. Originally built by my father in 1995 and renovated twice since, our lake home is updated yet unpretentious, built for spending quality time together, and has plenty of space with the water just steps away. Our home is meant for week-long stays, shared meals, laughter on the dock, and making the kind of memories that bring our guests back year after year. If you're looking for a southern week on the lake that feels like home the moment you arrive you'll find it here.
Our lakefront family home sleeps 15 and has a private boat ramp on the property so you can launch your boat on site without having to find a public boat launch. Plenty of parking with both an upper and lower driveway, there's plenty of space to leave your watercraft trailer on site along with everyone's cars. The home is located in the Jackson’s Gap area of the lake - in a calm, quiet cove with low boat traffic that is ideal for kids swimming of the dock but still right off the main channel. Great wooded neighborhood that is ideal for walking and exploring. You're just a 5 minuted boat ride from Boondock's at Bay Pines Marina, where you can enjoy food, drinks, and live music with strangers who feel like friends. Close to Alexander City and just a 15 minute drive to the new Publix Grocery Store, Starbucks, and new Nail Salon.
With both an upstairs and downstairs living space, you'll have plenty of room to spend time together but the option for kids to have their own space downstairs. A fully equipped gourmet kitchen and second refrigerator on the ground level leading out to the pier make toting your drinks and ice to the pier a breeze.
Our family has been on Lake Martin since 1995 and we are happy to recommend anything you might need during your stay, from boat rentals to restaurants we have you covered.
We look forward to welcoming you to our home on Lake Martin - where lake days and family nights will build memories that last a lifetime.

This property was amazing! The host was super helpful and our stay couldn’t have been more perfect! Thank you for making our Auburn graduation experience better than we could have ever imagined!
We had a great stay here with a group of 8. Nice location in a secluded slough. Beautiful views, nice amenities in the house, great dock for boating and swimming. Owner went out of his way to communicate with us with a power outage that occurred during a storm. Would highly recommend.
Had a great time with family and friends for 4 days. 35 minutes from Auburn. Plenty of room for 15 people and fun times on the dock. Early May and lake already warm enough for swimming. Owner very responsive and easy to deal with. House in good shape, a great “lake Martin experience. Beautiful location.
This is our second trip to Lake Martin and we are simply blown away by the region!
This house had everything that our family needed. Plenty of room for six of us to spread out when we needed it and tons of seating when gathered together.
The steps to the dock were easy to navigate and the dock itself provided a place to sit in the sun or shade. Overall, a great place to watch the day pass by.
Would highly recommend!
Nice home. The kitchen was smaller than expected. The upper loft area never really got very comfortable during the daytime hours and was moderately comfortable during the night. The basement level was nice. Washer and dryer could have been better for the price paid. The access to the lake was steeper than anticipated from the photos. Overall it was a pleasant stay.
The owner charged us hundreds of dollars for damage to the property we did not cause. Refused to respond to my disputes of the charges. Additionally, the house was not fully cleaned when we arrived and was in a general state of disrepair.

The damages noted and state of the property after checkout were confirmed by both the property manager and our cleaning company, which is why this guest only received 54% of their security deposit back. We stand by our record and the facts surrounding this reservation.
House was a great location for the family. Water is in a no wake zone, which allowed the kids to play freely in the water. House is big with plenty of room for a big family. Also close to town which made shopping easy. Great communication with property manager.
This lake house was perfect for our family summer vacation (6 adults, 6 children). The home is well equipped and spacious. With 4 teenagers in our group we found the connectivity for cellphones and television worked very well. We spent a lot of time at the dock swimming, fishing, etc. The house is located on a quiet cove of Lake Martin. We had a pontoon boat rental for several days for tubing and cruising. The marina is very close and convenient. Overall it was a great week!
We had extended family, ages 75 to 10, all eleven of us. There were enough beds for everyone, kids didn't have to share! Loved the location, the dock (we brought our boat), and greatly enjoyed our first experience at Lake Martin House was adequately equipped with everything a large group requires for comfort and entertainment. Loved it!! Thanks for the great week!!
This house was perfect for my guys golf trip, in every way. The location, cleanliness, amenities, well appointed kitchen, grilling opportunities, dockside lounging were all perfect. We were a group of 8 so the house is plenty big for large families or even 2 families. We'd stay here again in a second and also would recommend it to anyone.
House was clean & spacious with plenty of room for our group of 14. Nice dock with plenty of room for multiple boats. The on-site boat launch was awesome. The only reason I gave it four stars for cleanliness is the exterior was in need of some cleaning and landscaping was not well maintained.
The walkway down to the dock is a little steep and my elderly parents (ages 84 & 77) found it difficult to walk it by themselves.
Very nice home in a quiet area of the lake! Good internet access. Kitchen was well stocked with all the cooking necessities. We enjoyed the screened in porch and dock. Walk to dock is easy/short down a relatively gentle slope. Great location close to Alexander City.
