Perfect Cottage Getaway on Gorgeous Georgian Bay!
We enjoyed a blissful week at Deborah’s cottage! The setting is stunning with a long dock, a sandy beach, and Muskoka chairs in strategic spots on the property to enjoy the sun throughout the day and the sunset in the evening. The deck is huge with two areas for eating or enjoying a cocktail or morning coffee. The island is easy to access from the Marina – just a two-minute water taxi, the staff was terrific, and they offer boat rentals for the week. The cottage is lovely and perfectly maintained, equipped with everything you could ever need, along with a canoe and SUP and fluffy beach and bath towels. Deborah was helpful throughout our stay and in the lead up to our trip. She answered our questions in a short time on email or text and left her number should we need anything throughout our stay. The cottage has a sound system inside and out to enjoy music or catch up on the news. The lake is quiet, with clear water for swimming and the property is brimming with striking natural beauty. Parry Sound is a 30-minute drive for a patio lunch, groceries and a fabulous Farmer’s Market on Tuesdays.

Perfect cottage for a Pointe Au Baril holiday!
We had a wonderful holiday at this cottage. Deborah had set up the cottage with everything we needed to enjoy a week away and was always available to answer our questions. It was very clean and had a fully equipped kitchen to prepare meals. The morning sunrise and evening sunsets from the deck and on the dock were beautiful! A very relaxing place to spend our holiday.

Bonnie Island
I've watched the growth and steady improvement of this cottage for several years, and finally visiting here was certainly worth it. The Bay, the site, the cottage and its amenities were a tremendous combination for a great week!

Relaxing week
We were so impressed when we pulled up to the cottage by boat. It looked inviting. Entering the cottage was a delight as it was beautifully clean, spacious for 4 adults and did not disappoint. Due to covid we brought our own linen but Deborah had beautiful clean towels and beach towels for use which was appreciated. The kitchen in fully stocked with most items and it was very easy to prepare foods. The boat launch at Sturgeon Bay marine was easy with very helpful employees. The water is gorgeous and great for boating. All in all, it was a spot we would visit again. The only missing kitchen item was a juicer for squeezing fresh limes but we managed😜

About the host

Hosted by Deborah Robertson

Host profile image
Scott, Brandon and I have grown up on the water with vacation properties. We have been vacation rental hosts for many years on the same island and our guests have loved their experience. As owners, we want our guests to have all the comforts of home and be able to enjoy their summer vacation with their families without a worry. We are hand's on hosts who make ourselves available to our guests at all times.

Why they chose this property

Bonnie Island has three unique properties. We are proud owners of two of those properties which makes hosting much more convenient as well as providing our guests with 2 different views and 2 different types of atmospheres in these homes.
