BOOK FOR THE WORLD CUP-5 Bed Farmhouse with Pool, Pond, 45 minutes from stadium
This home is one of three Vrbo homes that we own. The Farmhouse on Anna Cade is an exceptional home with views from every room, as well as views from both the front and back porch. If you are looking to host just your family or all of your family, there will be plenty of space! The kitchen table and bar seat 16-18 people and the two living room couches can easily seat 10 adults (more if you like to cuddle). The couches also can recline, making TV watching or relaxing a comfortable place to be. If you plan to entertain, the pool is definitely large enough to manage a crowd. There is also seating for almost 40 under the Arbor, around the pool, or on the back porch. We also have a lake house on Cedar Creek Lake, about 60 miles south of Dallas. You can find it at Vrbo ID 3003593. We enjoyed our stay at this Farmhouse! Danielle was responsive to all my questions before hand and during the stay. The pool was amazing! The house was spacious and fit our party of 13 well!
The house is huge and has lots of space to spread out. There are enough bedrooms for 5 couples to have their privacy including 2 master bedrooms which was great because my 2 adult kids always fight over who gets the master. The pool was lots of fun, especially the diving board. The whole neighborhood set off fireworks which was a bonus over July 4. The kids also enjoyed the baby ducks and cows.
Our family had a wonderful and relaxing time in Rockwall! The home is spacious, well appointed, and perfectly comfortable. Loved the outdoor offerings of pool, pond, and farm animals. Fun was had by all!
Overall experience was good. It was a little strange staying in someone's actual home. The small farm experience was sweet. Cows, ducklings, donkey and rooster were sweet to watch. Liked the fact that our area around the pool was fenced which made it more intimate. Barn apartment was cute but the summer temp made it impossible to actual use.
Family gathering for a golden wedding anniversary. Great open kitchen and family room for our crowd. Everyone enjoyed the pool. I think all the showers each day plus laundry was a bit of a strain on the septic system, though. Hosts were pleasant and communicative
What a lovely property! Stayed here for a girls’ weekend. There were eight of us. This house didn’t disappoint! Amazing kitchen, comfortable living room, plenty of comfy bedrooms. The pool and outdoor seating areas were great. Couldn’t have chosen a better spot! Thank you!
Willian Georgia house loved the pool only a couple things I would add is that we had no wash clothes to bathe with we had ample amount of towels. The up stairs bedroom gets really hot. But made it with box fan at night. Overall everyone loved it, would go back.
Best pool ever! Plenty of room for a group to swim, built in seating and a nice waterfall. Also, relaxing, shady seating on pool patio.
All bedrooms were spacious and comfortable with attached bathes.
The kitchen is beautiful, and has all necessities! There is ample seating at the table and at the huge island.
Two living room areas worked well for our group - the larger for activity and the smaller for TV and napping.
The hosts are lovely and provide easy communication and a very nice welcome booklet.
We enjoyed the privacy and the quiet, scenic area. Yet, grocery and restaurants were only a couple miles away.
We highly recommend this beautiful home.
Nice open space with large area for kids to run and play. House worked well for our group with lots of bathrooms for showering. Front door lock was hit or miss for operating as expected, so needed to use side door as alternate access a few times. A member of our group has cat and dog allergies and suffered the whole time there, consistently using an inhaler and antihistamines to function as blankets/pillows/furniture seemed to harbor pet dander/smell. Having that info clearly laid out would help future guests in their decision making process.
A couple of us took a plunge in the pool even tho the weather was anything but warm! What can I say— refreshing!!
If no pet allergies, a great place to enjoy.

I apologize for the issues with allergies. We are a pet friendly rental on acreage with farm animals; exposure to animals is implied.
My stay here was a terrible. Neighbors spying on my friends and I, saying that we were making people feel uncomfortable which we were doing anything!!!! We even left a day early because of this. Racist if you ask me. The entire house smelt like cat pee so I went a purchaser $100 worth of cleaning products and plug ins. Hair left in the showers, the sewage is terrible as well the bathrooms barely worked. One side of the house was so hot it was unbearable. Been working with vbro on getting my money back actually.

I am saddened by this review, but would like to take minute to comment on a few of the things she mentioned.
1) Upon their arrival at the house, about 7:00 on Friday evening, the air conditioning had stopped working on one part of the house (there are 3 units, the other 2 units were still working). We were very alarmed by this and called our AC repairman as soon as we found out. He agreed to come out the following morning. By noon on Saturday the air was fixed.
2) My neighbors were not spying on them. As mentioned in the property description, we have barn animals, and need to come onto the property to feed them twice a day. We were out of town that weekend, so a neighbor was feeding the horses for me. She called me when she saw 15+ cars parked on the lawn (which left ruts), I had told her there should only be 10 guests.
3) We allow parties to take place on the property, but only with prior approval. On Saturday night I spoke with Ms. Butler after I learned of the large gathering she was having. She said her mom surprised her with the additional guests, and didn't know that family was driving in from out of state to celebrate with her. I told her that was fine, but that the additional guests would need to leave. Her mom called me back minutes later, and asked if they could stay until 10pm, I agreed, I really didn't want to punish Nijea and ruin her birthday party because of someone else's mistake. The following day, Sunday, I arrived on the property to feed the barn animals and saw that once again there were over 15+ cars parked all over the property including in the middle of the lawn. I walked upto the front door and knocked. I asked to speak with Nijea. I waited 45 minutes on my front porch to speak to her, she never came. I spoke with her mother, her godmother, and a few of her friends. They apologized and said they were unaware of the rental agreement Nijea has signed and assumed that since I was ok with party going until 10 on Saturday night, that I was ok with them hosting a second party on Sunday until 10. We never asked them to leave, and just wanted to speak with Nijea to work this out.
4) It took myself and my cleaning team over 5 hours (30 hours of labor) to clean the house including the 30+ bags of trash. There were also broken items, cigaret butts in the yard, fish scales left in a pan, and the kitchen sink needed to be snaked.
It's really too bad this didn't work out because we care so much about our guests and their stay in our home.
We were very pleased with this property. On the plus side, the home was very spacious with lots of living areas and dining areas. Other features that we enjoyed were their standalone ice maker and filtered water dispenser in the fridge. Our young kids raved about how good the water was. This saved us from using too many plastic water bottles. Another good feature was that all rooms have ceiling fans. Danielle was very responsive and friendly with all questions. We enjoyed seeing the farm animals also. We also loved the swimming pool. It has a diving board and deep end for some good swim time. We only had a few things that didn't work for us. Our biggest thing was that the pool light didn't work and our family really enjoys swimming at night. If you don't swim at night, this wouldn't affect you. We like to cookout on the grill. The grill near the pool is a Big Green Egg. We weren't familiar enough with it to feel like we could use it. We would have preferred a more traditional grill. But, for BGE lovers, this is perfect for you! The last concern that we had and we knew upfront was that there were only 6 beds to sleep 14 people. We were able to put our smaller kids on couches easily and there are A LOT of nice big couches. Overall, we would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Thank you Jon for your positive review. I wanted to let you know that the pool light is now fixed and working great!
Had a fantastic stay. Great place to have family gathering. All enjoyed the farm setting and the kids really enjoyed seeing the animals in the pastures. My granddaughter fell in love with the donkey, which she named Berry. Only minor issue was not enough linens for the adults and some of the kitchenware was not clean. Would highly recommend for large gatherings. Property had plenty of room/seating for family to spread out.
We had a lovely time, disconnecting. We have a homestead and it was nice to still be in the country, but to be able to sleep in and know we didn't have to get up to tend to the animals! We loved the pool, and overall, just being able to relax. We had a lovely time.
We wanted a mini trip for our large family that was not too far to travel. We found this beautiful place in Rockwall. We had so much fun and our grandkids loved swimming everyday. They loved the animals on the farm as well. Danielle, was great and was available to answer any of our questions. Lots of memories were made and that was our goal !
Ms Danielle
My family would like to say we have a great time and thank you for allowing us to stay in your home.
I would like to bring to your attention on a few things.
1. Most of the umbrellas at the tables around the pool were broken.
2. We were able to cool the downstairs in about 2 hours. The upstairs...took much longer. Might want to consider turning the temp down prior to guest arriving to speed that process.
3. The front door allowed my to enter on my arrival, but the screen would not work again to use coming in and out. We used the back entrance. It locked on its owned as it should do.
4. We finally located how to turn the bar plugs on...need more notes for future guest.
5. We left some additional floats for the pool. Some of the items were worn out.., ie, the noodles.
This home is great for a large family and is located in a great area for quiet, resting environment. We found the home to be well stocked with all the necessary items to cook or store food in fridge. The bar is huge and lots of room to eat and serve food. The ice machine was fantastic and a great addition for our stay. We use lots of ice and it kept up just fine. Huge front yard which allowed me to practice my chipping game. The pond had a lot of pan-size bass, but we catch and release for the next guest to enjoy. Game room was outstanding for the boys to play and be closed of with the barn doors. We love the "love sac". Lots of big screen TV's. The media room was the best. Nice and cool with big screen TV and my 4 y/o grandson loved the drums. I would absolutely recommend this home and the owners are easy to communicate with and respond quickly to any needs requested.
Thank you Danielle
Doug
Owners were helpful and friendly. We enjoyed the fishing swimming jumping on trampoline and playing games. We cooked our meals there and they had most items we needed. We would go again.
This home was set up perfectly for our family vacation. Because of COVID, we cooked most of our meals at the home and the kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed. The dining area and outdoor areas had plenty of space for all of us to eat together. The home is spacious and we loved the floor plan. The pool has a diving board and is much larger than we are used to seeing in vacation homes. We thoroughly enjoyed using it every day and evening. We also enjoyed seeing the horses, goats, donkey, chickens and cats. Our grandsons especially enjoyed feeding carrots to the horses and donkey. We had a few questions and the hosts were very prompt in their responses.
This location was ideal for us. We were gathered together for our son’s wedding in Terrell. The house is designed to accommodate comfortably a large family. The kitchen was extremely well equipped and there are multiple areas to eat either inside or outside. The pool area is just amazing. Everyone in our family had a terrific time in this amazing spot.
Our stay at this beautiful house in Rockwall was fantastic! We had a very small wedding with family and friends and our time spent at this house was magical. The house and the adjoining patio/pavilion is incredibly spacious, but is laid out in such a way that you still feel connected with everyone enjoying their own area. At the same time, there was plenty of seating to be altogether for meals and activities - perfect for larger groups. We had everything we needed - all the amenities and easy, plentiful parking off the street. It's close enough to downtown Rockwall to enjoy the restaurants and shopping, but far enough away that you really get the feel of being away from things and able to enjoy a peaceful time on the porch. The hosts were very pleasant and helpful throughout the booking, planning and renting process. Needless to say, I would use this as my go to place to stay while in Dallas area. Loved it!!
We just had an amazing weekend stay at this home as well as another house just down the road that belong to the same owner. The owners were extremely friendly, helpful and accommodating especially during this time of covid! Because restaurants won't take groups of people, the owners were totally ok with us having a Food Truck come to serve dinner one night. So fun! The house was decorated for the holidays which made it extra festive!
The property was huge!! We wish we could have enjoyed the pool, but too cold in December. This home was everything we hoped it would be. Just beautiful!!
Wonderful Location for a Family Thanksgiving Retreat
The house and grounds were everything we expected and more. The huge, fully equipped kitchen was especially helpful since we were preparing meals, including Thanksgiving dinner, for 9 adults and 5 children. Danielle was a gracious hostess and promptly answered every question we texted to her during our stay. Our grandchildren especially enjoyed getting to see all of the farm animals and promptly bonded with the two "barn cats." The spacious grounds allowed for all sorts of outdoor games and lovely walks. We even enjoyed our Thanksgiving dinner outside on a covered patio which had multiple tables and easily accommodated our group. It didn't hurt that the weather was perfect the entire time, although too cold of course to even consider using the swimming pool. All in all, it was a wonderful time and our grandkids are already asking if they can come back next year!
The pictures do not do this place justice! Absolutely perfect for a weekend getaway with friends
We had a weekend getaway for a group of 9 people. We were amazed when we walked through the door. The kitchen is perfect for making a big meal, etc. The deck is fantastic as is the pool. It is a great place to getaway in the country without having to drive too far.
Danielle is also very responsive and an overall great host!
We will certainly be coming back
We rented this property for a relaxing girls weekend. Everything was clean, the check in instructions were crystal clear, and Danielle was so easy to work with. Everyone loved the animals, especially the ducks and cats. The property is easy to find and a quick drive to town for last-minute items. Would absolutely recommend this property!

About the host
Hosted by Danielle Avery
We are Kurt and Danielle Avery. We have lived in Rockwall since 2006, and purchased this home in 2017. We keep our home (and barn) full with our four children, dogs, cats, chickens, cows, sheep, and donkey.
Why they chose this property
We love how the house provides a large space in the living room and kitchen when we are together eating a meal, talking, or playing games. However, when we need time alone, there is space to unwind without others around.
What makes this property unique
This property is special because there are beautiful views from every room. The front porch, and three guest rooms look out over the front acreage. The downstairs master bedroom looks out to the pond, and the upstairs master bedroom looks down the entire back acreage. There is also a creek that runs from the pond, down the entire property leading to our other property and pond.
