This modern romantic Cottage is small but mighty and located just a few blocks from the beautiful beach- bring your water toys! While small in stature, everything you need is here and done so with exquisite taste from finishes to furnishings to decor. With the original 50’s era shiplap and craftsman doors, you're sure to experience that unique 'fun in the sun' vacation experience you've been desiring!
*This is a unique home with creative design maximizing the beautiful original finishes and materials while ensuring weary travelers have the comforts of today everyone expects. We have worked hard to ensure you find our home clean and comfortable, having restored this home past it’s original beauty and then some. Step inside our gorgeous walk-in shower, relax on our deck, and sleep in as late as you want as you reconnect with your family and yourself.

Living room sleeps 3- two on a brand new queen sleeper sofa and one one the couch. Bedroom sleeps two on a very comfortable double bed.

Other Features Included: large deck with seating for a large group - take in the views from all around. We provide a gas grill, ceiling fans throughout inside, Internet/WIFI, SmartTVs, a washer and dryer and a full kitchen with all the amenities you need to stay and eat in while maximizing your family time. Eating out-walking to the jetty shack for a great burger and seafood or taking a short drive to one of the many local restaurants in our area is so easy.

AREA: No touristy chain restaurants, shops or hotels. Just chillin' beach bar and grills, food (and beverage) trucks (like Surfin Rita Daiquiris To-Go), burger joints (like Pier 30 and Beachfront Deck Bar & Grill) and tasty fresh seafood options (like Seahorse Bar & Grill and Red Snapper) line the water. Surfside is your simple relaxing sandy beach, water sporting, surfing, fishing and crabbing vacation destination.

Surfside Beach is located around an 1 hr drive to Houston on Texas Highway 288 depending on traffic. For out-of-town visitors, Houston Hobby Airport is within easy driving distance offering many carriers making air travel reasonable and convenient Just rent a car and enjoy the drive down!

All rooms were very clean and supplied with all our needs. The weather was fantastic. Quiet neighborhood. Police patrol made us feel safe as well. We accomplished exactly what we wanted to do. Rest, relax, go fishing, bbq’d, took walks with our pets, rode around site seeing and ended our evenings sitting out on the balcony enjoying the breeze and the view. I will definitely rent this awesome place from Robert again! :-)

Wonderful stay!

The house is small, cozy, and very clean and well maintained. I loved how close it is to Surfside Jetty so i could go fishing after work. Excellent place for couples or a small family.

We truly enjoyed our week at Surfside in the house. It was relaxing and peaceful. Short walk to the pier and ocean. It was fun to get up in the morning and step out to the roaring ocean and beautiful sunrise.

Great Beach Getaway!

Perfect beach house for a getaway! My husband and I had a great stay for the weekend with our two pups. The house and property was very clean and short walk to the beach! The host was very easy to communicate with, if I had any questions. We would definitely stay again!

This was the perfect getaway for my family. Rob was so quick to respond to everything and the house was perfect. Anything you could think of that you may need, the house has. Made it super easy to travel and not stress about everything you may need.

Surfside Beach is a go

There was a little mess up when accessing the property that was immediately resolved. Very spacious for 600 square feet as well as updated and clean. Also included all necessities, including plates, paper towels, utensils, hair dryer and toiletries.

Weekend getaway

Communication with the host was 5 stars within minutes of booking. Even when I made a mistake in booking, he was quick to offer a solution to make our weekend plans seamless and enjoyable. The arrival directions were spot on and easy to follow. The house is perfectly located- you get a peek at the ocean, but are just far enough away to enjoy the quiet neighborhood. Stores and restaurants are walking distance. The house was meticulously cleaned and had every kitchen and bathroom item we needed. They even had beach towels and chairs for our use. The bed was super comfortable. All the comforts of home made this rental a great spot for the weekend. We will definitely return!

Cozy, quiet, new and very pleasant

A short meet up with family. Evening breeze on the deck was delightful. Rob’s house is very well appointed and comfortable for a small group. The guests before us were very late to vacate, and so housekeeping was not complete when we arrived. Rob was very helpful.

It was a very comfortable, cozy and clean. It was a perfect place to recharge and rest after a dirty and tiring day at the beach. It was great how the house was stocked with all the home amenities making vacation very stress free. No need to pack a bunch of extra stuff at this place! We enjoyed grilling our 1st night with the grill charcoal and lighter provided. The house is 2 blocks from the beach and I enjoyed walking, my kids needed to be driven to the beach, which was just the k side nice there is tons of parking spots. After this stay I feel inspired to start planning my next vacation!

Nice, relaxing weejend

This was a perfect spot for a nice, relaxing 4 day weekend for my wife and I. The house was spotless and was just like the photos and description on VRBO. It is the perfect size for a couple to spend time away from home. We had a couple of minor issues but they were addressed immediately by the property manager to our satisfaction. While the house isn't directly on the beach it is only a short walk there. The neighborhood it is located in was quiet the whole time we were there with only minimal traffic. The sound of the surf on the beach was usually louder than any traffic or neighborhood sounds. I'm very happy to have rented the house this weekend.

Great Rental

I would give this rental 5 stars across the board if not for the misleading listing regarding the beds. The bed in the bedroom is a full size bed not a queen. This would have been a dealbreaker when booking as I am 6’3” and my legs hang off the end of a full size bed.The listing claims the couch is a queen but it is not. A pull out couch is not a queen bed, especially this style where it simply pulls up another row of couch cushions. Great for snuggling and watching a movie. And we would never book a rental with the intent of sleeping on the couch. Photos and labeling of rooms and beds on the listing was misleading at best. Hopefully that gets fixed. I’m am including a screen shot of the listing showing the room labeling discrepancy. Couches were also different from photo. **EVERYTHING ELSE WAS PERFECT!** Very Clean, and all the amenities one could ask for in a vacation rental. We even appreciated the little things that we don’t normally get with rentals (like condiments, cooking oil, good toilet paper, travel toiletries, laundry soap, beach chairs, etc). Perfect size rental for 2-3 people and is a 5 minute walk to the beach. Communication with the host was great and for what it is worth they did apologize for the bed situation and tried to make it up to us (which I do appreciate).Don’t hesitate to book this place if you can deal with the full size bed (which did have a very comfy mattress).

Birthday weekend

The property was great. Bigger than what I expected, clean, plenty of room and the location is fantastic. You can drive 2 minutes to the jetty, unpack and hang out at the beach, drive to several small convenience stores and several restaurants within a 15 minute drive. My only complaint, which has nothing to do with the property is the mosquitoes that swarmed me after a quick 10 minute rain. Other than that, I have no complaints. :)We brought a cot for my teenage son and my 10 year old for perfectly on the pull out couch. Would definitely stay again!!!!

Cute House

First time staying and the inside of the house was beautiful and clean. There was plenty of room for the 3 of us. The shower was absolutely awesome and the beach was an only a few blocks away. My only improvement feedback would be the rotten Insulation hanging from the ceiling underneath the house. It was pretty unsightly, so I did not use the underside of the house but the patio was great! I am sure repairs are already in the works. Thank you for a great stay!
