“Come for the Sunset, Stay for the Spirit”
Authentic Lahaina Stay with Unbeatable SunsetsWe stayed for five nights to celebrate a birthday and Mother’s Day—three sisters seeking peace and connection. The home is located right on a busy road, which was a surprise. You will hear both traffic and the powerful ocean, but the beachfront sunsets made it completely worth it.The view is truly stunning—no need for a sunset cruise. The house is simple and clean, designed for indoor-outdoor living. All bedrooms are upstairs. The air conditioning and fans worked perfectly. We had no bug issues—just a few tiny ants, which is normal, and one brief mouse visit. We did not cook, just used the refrigerator for salads and yogurt. The kitchen is barebones but functional. The couch has changed from the listing photos, and only one pool is available, which may need updating. We did not use the washer and dryer. There were plenty of beach supplies: chairs, boogie boards, surfboards, towels, and an outdoor shower that kept sand out. Floors were a bit dusty—zories (flip-flops) helped. The location is great. We loved the sunrise at Maalaea, hula show at the Cannery, crafts market in the Ross lot, and Mama’s Fish House (pricey but worth it—book early). Avoid the chaos of Whalers Village. Plenty of great lunch spots behind Safeway and the Cannery. This is not a resort. If you want a polished hotel, look elsewhere. But if you seek the spirit of ohana, peace, and connection to the land, this is the place.
