Welcome to the Whistling Whale Cottage! Our direct waterfront retreat is tucked away in the mangroves of the Indian River in the quaint town of New Smyrna Beach Florida. Relax on the back patio and watch the tides rise and fall. Don’t be surprised if you spot dolphin, manatee and sea turtles!! And enjoy waterfront views from almost every room in the cottage! Some of the world's best fishing is right off of our dock - tarpon, redfish, snapper! If you prefer the beachside, it's just a quick ride to beautiful New Smyrna Beach and to shopping on Flagler Avenue. It's also less than a mile to Downtown NSB Canal St. where you will find more of a local flavor - with farmer's markets, fairs, and special events. Our quiet location is the really the best of both worlds... close to the beach and right on the river.

The Whistling Whale is a cozy 2 bedroom 2 bath cottage in the desired Dolphin Cove community. Decorated in a coastal casual style, well supplied and meticulously cleaned. Upon entry into the cottage, you will be delighted with the views! Since we are an end unit, you have river views in the living room as well as the kitchen. Walk right through the kitchen, out the sliding door to our patio overlooking the river where you can enjoy amazing sunsets! The Main Bedroom is very spacious and features a king bed with a comfy Casper mattress, dresser, Smart TV , and an en-suite bath with tub/shower. The second bedroom has a queen bed, dresser, Smart TV, separate bathroom and a fabulous view of the river. In the kitchen, you'll find new marble counter tops and stainless steel appliances. There is also a laundry room with full sized washer and dryer. The Whistling Whale Cottage is designer decorated with all of the latest updates and comes with everything you would need for a wonderful, peaceful stay in New Smyrna Beach. It’s perfect for snowbirds or a picturesque retreat while you’re working virtually! We would love to have you as our guests!

Wonderful property. Location is ideal. Halfway between historic downtown and beachside Flagler Avenue. Great fishing right off the back of our pier. Plenty of restaurants and bars nearby to enjoy a nice meal and cold beverage. Will be staying again.

We had a wonderful stay! The cottage was clean, updated and very welcoming. The furnishings were attractive and comfortable and the cottage was supplied with everything we needed. Most of all we enjoyed the peace and serenity of the patio overlooking the river. Guy was an excellent host who was always available to answer our questions. We couldn't have asked for more. Can't wait to return!

Definitely DOLPHIN Cove!

Updated coastal cottage with water view, and fishing dock. Dolphin viewing is wonderful! Good location to drive all over NSB & enjoy the entire area. It would have been great to have screens on sliding doors for ventilation & to enjoy the great breezes with all the beautiful February weather. It is important to note that the community is in close proximity, to very loud, early morning, freight trains.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Whistling Whale. The place was very clean and comfortable as well as tastefully decorated. Kitchen supplied with everything you need. We are a family of 4 from Orlando, Florida and have been coming to NSB for years. We love boating, the beach and the small town feel that New Smyrna Beach provides. When this cottage came up for sale, we knew it was perfect for us. We would love to share our home away from home with you.

Why they chose this property

This property is the perfect get-away! The river views are spectacular and it's only a quick ride over the drawbridge to take advantage of our world class beaches. The location sits just between the two shopping districts of Flagler Ave (Beachside) and Canal Street (Downtown NSB). Its the best of both worlds.

What makes this property unique

Our Whistling Whale Cottage is one of only a few places directly on the Indian River with Waterfront Views. You see plenty of dolphin, sea turtles and manatees from the back patio or the dock slip. We also have some of the best sunsets in NSB! It's truly a one a kind getaway!
