Melissa & Family!
We just loved hearing about your stay. It is so great when we hear our guests loved the way Suzanne (aka ‘designer’) decorated our VRBO so families feel at “home” when they are away from their own home!
Thank you again! Hope to have you back soon!

What a wonderful home away from home! Everything we needed for a lovely stay was provided. A number of trails walking distance from the house include a great spot to watch the sunset over the city. Hosts offer all the support & privacy you need. Such a relaxing place to stay. Thank you!!
Our second time here and we will return again! Such a perfect location for when we come visit our family in SLC, and plenty of room for our family of 5. Once again the ping pong table was the highlight of our stay. Especially with the huge snow storm, we spent more time indoors than we normally would and loved having the ping pong table and a cozy family room area for board games. Thanks for keeping the snow cleared and offering the indoor stairs for our luggage.
This is a cute spacious basement apartment. The kitchen has a full oven but a small fridge and freezer.
They keep the path clear to the apartment door but it’s a path on the side of the house that goes down a hill.
It’s a nice quiet neighborhood.
The property was very nice and the owner's were friendly - gave us a quick tour and told us about any of the quirks of the property.
Basement property - 2 nice rooms and bathrooms. Plenty of space. A little odd going down between 2 houses to get to the room - unpaved walkway at a slope. Could be troublesome in the winter. But overall lovely property.

Thank you for your comments! We strive to be the very best in vacation rental accommodations.
Just a note regarding the entry and exit to the property. We are within days of our guests being able to enter and exit through a front door inside stairs access!
Thank you again in booking our vacation rental and glad you enjoyed it!

We booked this Vrbo as we were attending a wedding at Siempre. It was perfect location as it’s one mile from the venue. Made it very easy for us to attend events that were also this end of the valley. Everything was clean, well appointed. Met Doug and he was wonderful. The hiking trails close by are amazing. I give this property 5 stars because it’s exactly as advertised and everything we needed.
Some things to consider depending on what is important for you. Each group is different.
- you enter the home in the same door as the owners. But then have a locked door to your space. There is a door that separates their living from the entry but it’s not a tight fit in the door jam.
- small fridge and no ice. We bought a bag of ice
- pillows are firm and low profile. Again it was fine for me but others in the group like fluffier pillows
- only one parking space. If you have two cars the other one has to park up around a corner. Not far, but it’s just along a curb
Property location is in a beautiful neighborhood with a fantastic view from the backyard. Only 4 mins from Flight Park which offers the most stunning view of Utah as well as an opportunity to watch paragliding up close and personal. Only a 5 minute drive from good food and shopping. Property was exactly as described and the hosts were super nice. Definitely recommend staying here!
What a wonderful spot to call “home” on our last stop on our spring break adventure in SLC AND Moab. This home was the perfect size for our family of 5. Plenty of room and plenty to do. The home is very clean and has everything you would need.
Douglas was wonderful to work with and such a welcoming heart. He made sure we had everything we needed and gave great recommendations to do in the area.
Hope to be back soon!
Our family LOVED staying here! Kids enjoyed the toys, books and secret hideout, and mom and dad enjoyed the space and the unbeatable mountain views!

Perfect place to stay and partake of winter sports.
Our hosts were the absolute BEST!! So kind, friendly and servant hearted. After visiting with them, I left feeling like they were my family - "HINT: We are family." The accommodations were so clean, well kept, comfortable and nicely decorated in a beautiful neighborhood overlooking SLC. Only 35 minutes from ski slopes and SLC Airport, depending on traffic of course. Would highly recommend this HOME away from HOME.
Beautiful, clean place with tons of personal touches and plenty of space. Douglas is an excellent host and communicates very well. Great access to Little Cottonwood Canyon. Would definitely book again.
We had a great time at this cute and warm vacation home! Mountain air, snow, view of the city from the Traverse Ridge Rd at night and owner's hospitality were all wonderful!
I highly recommend this rental house.

The hosts were a pleasure. They were helpful and welcoming and gave us some tips on the area. The area is beautiful and the place was perfect for our needs.
We really enjoyed our stay here. We were in town for a wedding in Draper and also skied Snowbird. The in-laws stayed at a hotel and wanted us to stay there but a family of 5 with 3 teens and ski gear doesn't fit well in one hotel room. This place was huge and a great value in my opinion. The extra powder room and ping pong table sealed the deal. What we loved most: Two big bedrooms with privacy between them, a huge family room that fit the ping pong table with room to leave it up for the entire stay and the large main bathroom with two vanities. This place was also very well stocked with everything needed. Responsive hosts and a super quiet neighborhood. One of the best vrbos we've stayed at.
This basement apartment in the owners home is nicely furnished. The owners were great to work with and we’re very accommodating to our needs. We had quick access to the freeway. The beds were very comfortable. Overall we had a great time and really enjoyed our stay.

We absolutely LOVED our stay! The hosts are absolutely the kindest people you will meet! They have top of the line products and the house was decorated so cute and cozy! Very clean! We will be staying again. Reasonable price too!
We booked this rental without knowing anything about the Salt Lake area, and it exceeded our expectations. It is in a nice quiet neighborhood, with incredible views of the mountains and city below. Our kids loved the paragliders floating by everyday. The rental is very spacious, we had six people in our group and it didn't feel cramped at all. It is beautifully decorated and had tons of little touches, such as locally crafted products like soaps and lotions. The owners stayed in communication and were very helpful when we needed anything. We highly recommend this rental and would happily stay here again!

What super guests you were. We loved having you enjoy our beautiful part of the world with us!
Thank you again!
The owner is not kidding by comparing their home to a Switzerland setting. The place is a GEM! We had everything we wanted and more. Complete comfort in a this cozy place with a view of the rugged mountains. It had a home away from home feeling, while being close to the ski resorts and close to all the modern services and conveniences of a city suburb. We had a blast. Thank you to the hosts!

About the host
Hosted by Douglas Taylor
Suzanne has been travelling since she was about two years old. Her mother took her all over the world and saw many beautiful places. We settled in the Wasatch front after falling in love with Utah after going to school here back in the early 80s. We love to travel and love our city dearly. So we decided to share our beautiful place with the world by signing up as hosts with VRBO.
Why they chose this property
You will love this little section of Draper, Utah. Quaint Cozy (and you should see the inside of the VRBO!)
What makes this property unique
Utah is framed the "Honey-Bee" state. So Suzanne created our VRBO with a flare of what Utah is all about! Uniquely decorated and styled into a cozy 2,300 sq. foot space for you to enjoy your stay!
Come see our "Little Switzerland of Utah!" We'd love to share this with you!
