Thank you for the review. It was a pleasure hosting you!
Amazing cabin! Everything was spotless, comfortable, and exactly as described. The location was perfect for a relaxing getaway, and the host was easy to communicate with. Highly recommend.
Rustic and cozy cabin a few miles south of Baileys Harbor, great base to explore Door County. Clean and well equipped, the communication with the host worked very well. The only thing to note was that despite having a note in the kitchen stating “you are on vacation, we won’t have a long list of checkout chores” the checkout list was actually quite extensive with stripping beds, collecting towels and starting laundry, starting dishwasher, taking out trash and wiping down the fridge. This was probably the most intense checkout list I have ever had, and I am frequently staying in rental units when I travel. Nevertheless, we had a good time and enjoyed exploring Door County.
We loved our stay; it’s in a private area but close enough to everything you’d want to do in Door County. Would recommend to anyone who wants a cabin stay away from everyone but close enough to do all the restaurants and shops.
We had a great end of summer family vacation at this cozy cabin! It has a perfect Door County location that is close to the lake, nature trails, and neighboring towns. There are nice restaurants, cafes, and shopping close by too. The cabin is dog friendly and had everything we needed to feel at home! We enjoyed coffee on the porch and the living room fireplace on cool nights! We‘d love to book again!
The home was warm and welcoming upon our arrival. In subzero temperatures we appreciated Lisa turning up the heat earlier in the day so we were comfortable when we arrived. Door County Coffee, hot chocolate and cherry candies were a lovely treat that we enjoyed! Being we were staying in with cold weather, the fireplace ambiance, well appointed kitchen and inviting gathering area were enjoyed by our group! Thank you!

Thank you for the lovely review! It was a pleasure being your host!
Kitchen was very well stocked, and even included a crock pot and a KitchenAid stand mixer. As we made breakfast and dinner each day of our stay, the kitchen amenities were greatly appreciated! The location of this home is wonderful, as it is down a dead end road, ending at Lake Michigan. Very quiet and beautiful area. Lisa, the host, was right on top of things, and texed me to ensure I didn't have any questions or needs. Great place to stay!

Thank you for the review! It was a pleasure hosting you!
We had a great time and enjoyed our stay at the cabin. It was plenty of space for our family. The location was perfect. Thank you, Lisa, for the hospitality.
The cabin is very nice! Nicely updated but still comfortable and cozy.
It was the perfect size for our family (7) and we felt welcomed with the little added touches.
The fireplace was very nice on cooler evenings. Having Lake Michigan at the end of the dead end road we were on was great! One small suggestion would be some new pillows, at least for the loft bedroom. We were very comfortable and had a great time. Lisa got back to us right away when we had questions and checked in with us on arrival. Thanks for the great stay!
Only 4 minutes from Baileys Harbor, this location is perfect access to everything in the North Peninsula. We love the quieter vibe of Baileys, and the cabin home is quiet and lovely. Thanks to our hosts for an excellent experience!

About the host
Hosted by Lisa Goebel
My brother and I recently purchased this beautiful home from our mother. This is the house we grew up in and we couldn’t bear to see it be sold. My brother and I are both year round residents here in Baileys Harbor. My bother Todd, owns Lakeshore Adventures in Baileys Harbor and also builds custom homes. I have worked as a registered nurse for the past 23 years.
Why they chose this property
This beautiful home was built by my parents in 1976. My brother and I recently purchased this home from our mother because we wanted to keep the house in our family. We have so many wonderful memories growing up here. My brother Todd and I still both reside here in the Baileys Harbor area and we couldn’t imagine living anywhere else. We share a great love of outdoor activities which are in abundance here. In the summer we enjoy fishing, kayaking, hiking on nature trails, swimming at the beaches, boating and horseback riding to name a few. The falls brings extraordinary colors as the leaves change to yellow, orange and red. The air is crisp and we enjoy sitting by a campfire in the evenings with friends. In the winter months the beauty of the landscape is breathtaking. Life slows down in the winter and we have more time for quiet reflection and to regenerate ourselves. We enjoy activities such as cross country skiing, ice fishing, snowshoeing and curling up by the fire with a good book.
What makes this property unique
This house is constructed of solid logs which makes it very unique and charming. It is a great place to relax and unwind and spend time with family and friends.
