We loved this house so much! I couldn't believe it but it looks better than the photos even. We were welcomed by Christophe who was an amazing host and made sure we understand everything in the house and around it. The place is super well equipped with everything you need to enjoy yourself, and the kitchen feels like at home. The pool is wonderful and the view is amazing from all parts of the house. Best of all - we were in July and the weather was HOT so the A/C was a treat. I honestly have nothing bad to say about this place. And you must eat at the local restaurant which is literally 3 minutes away by walking. Thanks for having us!

We appreciated the interior qualities of the house and the beauty of the garden, but much less the proximity of a small building (about 30 meters away) that overlooked the property (Photoshopped in the advertisement). The real problem was the pool: it was unusable during the last 4 days of our stay. The reason is that the owner refused to treat the water properly, which was completely overrun by algae. We took photos.
We believe this situation warrants significant compensation for being unable to use the pool for one-third of our stay. We look forward to hearing from you.
Sincerely,
Margit Le Faou"

As owners of this property we would like to say that nothing on the Abritel / Homeaway website is photoshopped. All buildings surrounding the property are visible on the pictures. Rest assured, this building to which is alluded is not visible on the terrace in front of the house overlooking the pool and the valley. The surface of the terrain surrounding the property is quite large (more than 3000 m2), so no building is really near. The property is however located close by the village of Villedieu, so other houses are in the vicinity.
We are very sorry that the family of Margit was not able to swim for part of their stay. Due to a heavy thunderstorm the water quality changed overnight, which resulted in an unfortunate algae bloom. However, every day that this was the case, pool maintenance was done to correct the problem, and the problem was fully rectified at the start of the new rental period. The algae problem is not the result of reluctance by us to treat the pool, but the result of an unfortunate sequence of events. This summer additional chlorine dosing will be done manually to avoid any recurrence, until we can install a larger electrolysis system later in the year.
Just site down, relax an enjoy!!!
