Sandy Bay Beach Retreat

Its a great fishing spot with a boat ramp on the beach, if you don't have a boat there is also a wharf around the corner .Is a safe beach for the family to enjoy with glow worms in the cave at low tide or kayaking in the sea and creek. Tangiaro kiwi retreat for a coffee and lunch. The Coromandel coastal walk is great walk on a good day, the walk starts at Stoney Bay which is the next beach . There is also horse riding treks available in Colville.

Sandy Bay is such a beautiful beach, we've stayed many times. Bach is very close to the beach, just a minutes walk. Can't get much better than that.

What a special place! We fell in love with the location. The batch is lovely and our stay have been incredibly comfortable and enjoyable. Surroundings are nothing short of breathtaking! We will most definitely be back.

The perfect summer bach!

Really recommend this property, even better than the photos. The beach was so close and we enjoyed waking up and walking along the beach every morning. Plenty of room for our ute and boat on the lawn and lovely spots to sit in the sun. The hosts/owners had great communication and were very helpful. We will definitely be back.

Beautiful location

Real beach cottage in a beautiful location in a lovely setting. Everything we needed was there. Beach right outside the door. Friendly and helpful neighbours who advised and helped us when we had problems with mobile phone coverage. We had a lovely time.

A corner of paradise

Outstanding location and epic wildlife experiences - rare teal, banded rail and eels in the stream next door, dotterel and oystercatchers on the beach 2 minutes away. Lots to keep yourself occupied and a stunning couch on the patio [yes, the most comfy one ever!] for sunrises and sun sets. Worth the epic drive on rough roads to get there. The night sky is wondrous for us city slickers.

Just what you expect for a typical kiwi Bach . Has everything you need . Plenty of parking , filleting bench is a real bonus . Weather was awesome for the first 5 days then it turned . All in all a pleasant stay in a beautiful location.

Beautiful bach

Very spacious, kids could play right at the front lawn,due to almost no cars on the roads they ran the whole bay up and down. Everything there after a successful dive or fishing mission incl a big freezer . Musselfarms 10min away on a kayak All up was it what we were hoping for and we will be back with more time Thanks for that great stay
