It was perfect for what we needed!
I stayed here on the last leg of a cross country trip with my pup. I chose it because of the huge fenced-in yard and remote setting. The yard...I would describe it more as "grounds". It's such a pretty space with a walking path all the way around it and flowers in bloom. It's very charming and peaceful, which I wanted for a recovery day. Communication with the host was very timely and they came out when I arrived late in the evening to make sure I found my way ok. I appreciated that. I wasn't quite sure about the kitchen since I usually boil water in the morning and make some of my own food while traveling. No problem. They basically have a kitchen in a closet...portable stove burners, huge oven, and a very large griddle. The bed was very comfortable and everything worked out great. Just one note for anyone who has allergies. I don't have allergies so I was fine, but you can tell that the bathroom used to be a prime smoking location. Again, it wasn't a problem for me as it is not near the bed or the kitchen, but it is quite noticeable when you're in the bathroom.
I would absolutely stay here again if passing through Joplin. I bet it is just gorgeous in even warmer months. There are some very pretty water falls not far from this property. We went at sunset and there were several others there as well. It was so peaceful. There are also really nice walking paths along the river nearby. Anyway...5 stars.
