The home is set on Mako Street which has the estuary running behind. A short and flat walk to the beach. Sleeps 10 comfortably. Duvets and pillows supplied. A perfect setup for families and friends. This home has 2 lounges, 2 bathrooms and 4 bedrooms giving plenty of space for everyone to spread out. Read a book, lie on the deck, sit under the plum tree or walk to the beach for a swim or a surf.
Taupo Bay is unique in the fact that it is a safe swimming, surfing and boating beach. With white sands and rocks at both ends of the beach for exploring and fishing off. Whangaroa Harbour is a 10 minute boat ride away where the still waters and the DOC reserves give plenty of peace and ambience with amazing rock displays. Boating access from beach with 4 WD or tractor.

Hassle-free stay at beautiful Taupo Bay

Susan was a stellar host and was very helpful and approachable! Although an old house, it was clean. Kitchen very well equipped. Two separate living spaces ensured that our large group could spread out without feeling cramped. Front deck with BBQ was a relaxing spot (and the go-to) for everyone to share meals.

Great little spot...just what we needed in a bach for the weekend. Susan was super easy to deal... we were lucky enough for the neighbours to offer Avocados straight from their tree.

Great Location at Taupo Bay.

We had a lovely stay with our family, communication with the owner was fantastic, only a short walk to the beach which is absolutely beautiful , bonus we were allowed our dog.

Fantastic for families

Busy busy!

I didn't have a chance to spend much time at the property because of other commitments so was really only there for sleeping but what time was spent there was cosy :)

Loved our stay. Short walk to the beach. The accomodation is essentially 2 units joined together which provides good living space if indoors. We enjoyed that the house was more batchy than perhaps other, more modern alternatives, it meant we could relax - especially with smaller children.

Plenty of space for the family.

Plenty of space for the family. Very comfy bach feel to the place so we could all relax and enjoy our week at beautiful Taupo Bay. Weather and beach were fabulous. Our littlies loved the short walk to the playground and to the beach. Also good location for tripping around some of the Far North attractions.

This Bach has been in the Raymond family since 1970. Roger’s grandparents built it where many family celebrations and holidays were had. Then his parents purchased it and now it belongs to Roger and Susan Raymond’s Family Trust, to pass on to future generations. We have family holidays of fishing, diving, swimming and picnicking. Barbeques, friends, sunshine and relaxing on the deck. Walking to the beach for a swim or the campground shop for an ice cream, or just wait for the ice cream truck to pass by and get one at the gate. Drives to Doubtless Bay, Cape Reinga, Ninety Mile Beach and surrounds. Games of cards into the night.

A property that sleeps the whole family and friends. You can be together and still have your own space apart with the beauty of two lounge areas and a games room with a dart board. A short flat walk to a beautiful beach.

What makes this property unique

Family and friends. The kids always want to bring a mate along, with this place you can. Set up with rooms for the parents and bunk room for the kids. A good sized deck out the front for barbeque dinners, lawns for petanque and a quiet road frontage for a spot of Road Cricket. Two lounges for getting away from everyone and reading a good book. Just drive in, unlock and unpack. A short and flat walk to the beach.
