Awesome house. Awesome location. 2 adults and 5 teenagers stayed for long weekend. Well set up house and separate sleepout. Heaps of room for everyone and more if need be. Close to estuary and beach. Everything you need there. Definitely stay again.

Great house for family stay in prime location

An excellent house for all the family to stay. Location is ideal - a quick walk to the estuary and shop. Nice quiet area. The fire makes the house cosy (and hot) on the cooler nights. This will be first choice whenever the entire family stay at Whanga.

Awesome location for the estuary and beach

Spacious house, with two large decks. It has everything we needed. It is a convenient location to the estuary and beach, friendly neighborhood. Helen and Alan were great communicators. Would happily stay there again.

We had such a good time in Whangamatā, the house was exactly as pictured & in a great location. Just a 4 minute walk to the beach! Definitely would recommend. Excellent size & configuration for groups.

School holiday getaway

The location next to the estuary was fantastic. Also just a short walk to the sea. The bach was set up perfectly with so many different spaces and features. Sky, Net, outside shower, fish filleting station. Just so great

Grandies paradise

A great place for our diverse range of ages. There was plenty of space for everyone to go and do their own thing including sleeping babies. The additional showers were a big plus. Proximity to the estuary and the beach was awesome especially with 4 little boys who had to be kept busy!Apart from the pantry door in the kitchen sticking quite badly and there being no dishwasher, everything else was spot on. Thank you

We were disappointed with the property, particularly the downstairs bathrooms and lack of maintenance. There was a broken chair on the deck and a broken blind in the dining area. When we arrived the cleaning hadn’t been done and piles of laundry were outside the bedrooms

What a fantastically positioned and well-appointed house!

Super clean, sunny and warm. We arrived to a fully stocked fireplace and great information about best local takeaways, cinema times, etc. The kitchen is fully stocked with every implement and as much crockery you’d ever need. The owners were super-responsive to my questions and nothing was too much trouble. Large beds and plenty of duvets and throws. The walk to the beach is less than two minutes - this house really has it all. We really felt at home away from home. I can’t recommend this house highly enough and we will be trying to book it as often as possible! We had a wonderful stay.

Good for big groups

It was a lovely clean big house around the estuary side….all good ,the only problem I had was the description of it having 6 bedrooms which isn’t very accurate.there is 3 bedrooms in the house and then there is a granny flat downstairs.the sleep out is a converted garage with no seperate bedrooms it has a queen bed and a partial wall with bunks behind it which is fine for parents with little kids but not appropriate for 2x married couples!….anyway,it had everything we needed,nice balconies,nice and clean,just double check the sleeping arrangements before you book

Birthday celebration

Thank you so much for a wonderful stay at delightful whangamata the accomodation was perfect and suited our age range from 6 months to 60 years old and our pets. Alan was a super host nothing was too much trouble and his communication was brilliant .I would definitely recommend this accomodation to my friends and family and would love to stay again Thanks for everything super memories .

Perfect place for our group of friends
