Your group will enjoy easy access to everything from this centrally located 6 bedrooms 3 bath room Lodge. Valted wooden ceiling, overlooking half an acre park like setting with Magnificent Walnut Tree, Spa Pool, and tennis court. Close to City centre and Merivale Mall. Children's outdoor slide. The Lodge has open plan living with new carpet. 6 bedrooms 4 toilets, 3 shower and one bath. Upstairs master with ensuite and another bedroom. 4 bedrooms downstairs. 4 double beds the rest single beds. Set on over half an acre of botanic grounds.
A short drive gets you to the inner City, the University, the Airport and all the best schools shopping Malls, Riccarton, Northlands Merivale and Fendalton. Jelly Park Aquatic and fitness centre is also very close by.

Suit large groups sleeps easily 26 people. Includes, Internet sky and telephone and professionally laundered linen sheet, towes etc.

If your wanting to use the house and grounds for a wedding or event that includes guests not staying in the Lodge there is a Bond and extra fee. Please contact us to discuss your requirements.

This is such a great place. It is huge and accommodated our group easily. The grounds are wonderful, especially for our children - play equipment inside and outside, great tennis court, big spa pool, and beautiful grounds. The heating is great, and the furnishings and beds comfortable. Tracey is a wonderful host. We would definitely stay again

We booked this property for a team offsite and found it to be a great setting for bringing everyone together.While the home itself is a little worn in places, the outdoor areas more than make up for it. The gardens, tennis court, courtyard, spa, and various spaces around the property created a fantastic environment for both focused work and relaxed downtime.We hadn’t realised ahead of time that the hosts stay next door, which was a surprise on arrival, however they were considerate of our privacy and very helpful when we needed anything.Overall, it was a positive stay and the property worked well for our group gathering.

Absolutely great place to stay with a big bunch. We had a Amazing time. The house is perfect for big groups. Facilities are great very clean and tidy. Big yard front and back to relax and have a few beers.

Family stay for a wedding.

Host communication was non existent- on the day we were due to check in - the host never returned my calls . We had no communication about the check in procedure- no info regarding recycling etc . The house is old but also dirty. Carpet on the stairs is a tripping hazard. . Bathrooms are mouldy and carpets are very dusty . Strange that host lives on the property.

Disappointing value for money!

The property needs a complete overhaul - carpet is threadbare and in particular a major trip hazard on the stairs. All the glassware and crockery needed to be washed before use - possibly because the dishwasher needs fixing and does not wash effectively. Outside the gardens are in need of attention. Overall we were very disappointed as this was supposed to be a lovely family Christmas. Luckily the weather was fine and we could spend a good bit of the day outside as the interior is dark and dingy. Considering the cost of booking and rental this was extremely poor value. Unusual that the owner was staying at the property.

wonderful home that offers it all for a large group

We had a wonderful stay. The house offered everything that we required and there was a large family group. Tennis courts were an added bonus and location to town and every where else we wanted to go. Safe and secure car parking and a spa for those that wanted to use it. Tess was amazing to deal with and answered any questions we had before our arrival.

Location is good and the garden is magnificent.

Location is good and the garden is magnificent. We were relieved the weather was good and we could get outside as the lounge/dining area really wasn't big enough for our group (19 people). The house was fine but don't expect swanky. The little things like threadbare carpets (with duct tape in places) wouldn't have grated if we hadn't been paying so much: $2700 for three nights by the time we added all the extra people and cleaning. Loved the tennis court and spa. Thanks.
