»Come to find a little paradise...«

This charming, very private, self-contained cottage is set in the middle of our organic citrus orchard, just 5 km outside of Kerikeri. This cottage is wheel chair accessible. Our HoneyMoon Cottage is newly redone with double glazing, full insulation which makes it nice and warm in winter and cool in summer and extremely quiet. It is uniquely designed and handcrafted from New Zealand grown timber. For some extra comfort our HoneyMoon Cottage is equipped with heat pump, Smart TV with Netflix, DVD, hairdryer, microwave, BBQ and outside furniture on the private deck, free fiber wifi, tea/coffee and other amenities. Quality linen and towels are provided.

Directions / How to find us

Kerikeri is situated in the beautiful Northland, only 3½ h from Auckland, only 20 minutes to Paihia and 2½ h to Cape Reinga.

You can find us just outside of Kerikeri. If you come from Auckland/Paihia follow SH10 north. On the first round about continue 1.4 km further north (direction Kaitaia) on SH10.

Perfect base for us when visiting family. Exactly as described in the listing. The cottage was warmer/better insulated than I expected, which was great. A little road noise can be heard, but not too bad.

Private and relaxing

Felt quite at home staying here as the unit was very private and surrounded by orange trees. Very convenient location to use as a base to explore Bay of Islands and Northland. Feeding the pigs and chickens was also nice, especially exciting for our little one. Claes was very accommodating and kept us well supplied with fresh oranges. Highly recommend staying here is you want some privacy and peace.

This place was a big surprise for us.

This place was a big surprise for us. It was a bach with a bit of luxury. The bathroom is really well finished. very modern and the gas stove was also a dream to work. The kent fire wood burner is the added extra. We loved our stay, and would recommend to everyone.

Lovely quiet setting

Set back off the road in a quiet position surrounded by trees, it was a lovely quiet place to stay. The host was very friendly and so were the other people staying. So close to kerikeri.

We spent 3 nights at this little gem which is tucked away from it all on the edge of an organic citrus orchard. Simplicity, all essentials available. We particularly enjoyed being adopted by Nika the black lab who seemed to gravitate to our veranda whenever we were in residence! Would happily stay again.

Beautiful wooden unit in the tranquil setting of an orange grove. The host is helpful and friendly. Feeding the pigs is fun and you are never short of a dog to take for a walk around the property!
