Immaculately restored miners cottage with the comforts of home. The seagulls fly around and the tuis feed on the kowhai and pohutakawa.

The huge back deck is ideal for relaxing or entertaining. Pitch the tent, play cricket, park the boat off street and get into action.

Close to the tennis courts and walks along the coast. A very safe beach for families. Cafes and restaurants handy.

Set up for families with kids retreat, sleep out and a sheltered sunny location all day.
Special conditions:
No linen provided.Please provide you own.
Please leave house as found or an additional cost of $70 can be paid for a complete cleaning

This is our second stay at this great Bach.

This is our second stay at this great Bach. Full of character, clean, well located with sea view and a hop and a skip to the beach. Great deck and bunkhouse out back for the kids to stay in too.

Marvellous spot

Awesome place to stay, so close to the sea, stacks of firewood for warmth and ambience and heaps of sleeping options. I’ll be back!

Adorable little beach house with quirky features.

Adorable little beach house with quirky features. Loved the wood fire and the overall atmosphere of the house! Super close to fish and chip shop/dairy (2 minute walk) and also very close to a private beach area. Loved it and will definitely come back in the summer!

Classic beach bach

This is a classic old fashioned bach in a great location, close to the swimming end of Waihi Beach. If you are after bright, shiny and new this is not for you but if you like character, charm and a bit of history, this place is a cutie. There are lots of bedding options, it is clean and has an awesome fire place - all at a good value price.

Excellent retro bach

Easy communion, great back, perfect for our family. Great location, v clean, comfy beds, definitely recommended. Main bedroom and one single bed in the house, other beds are in separate building which might not suit for small children.

Charming beach cottage with a lovely sheltered deck which was great during the rainy weather. We look forward to returning in winter to try out the fireplace in the lounge. Guidebooks to local attractions included, with a handwritten list of must see/do stuff. Another bonus was the large fridge/freezer which meant we didn't have to do repeated shopping trips. My partner and I are looking forward to going again.

Great bach

Lovely little bach - unassuming but cute. Great woodburner and sunny deck out the back. Loved the character of the place and the location too, though it's one of those old wooden buildings where on a sunny winter's day, it is warmer outside than in (unless you have the fire going)... Thanks for a great winter break.

Fantastic location, right near the beach.

Fantastic location, right near the beach. Beautiful deck, nice for relaxing during the day. We loved the birds decorating the outside of the house - made it stand out and gave it a beachy feel. Living area was nice and cosy. Bathroom set-up worked out well for sharing between 8 girls. Nice that the toilet, shower and sink could be used at the same time. Consumables such as toilet paper, dishwashing liquid etc. all provided which we weren't expecting. All in all a wonderful stay!

Cute Coal Miners Cottage.

This cute Coal Miners Cottage was so inviting. Location was just perfect with the beach and Cafe within walking distance. There was the Main house and the separate Bunk house and both had bathrooms. Sleeps 8. Great experience.

Perfect stay

Great place to stay. Warm, cosy and feels like your own place to chill in. The shower is wonderful, always a big plus. Close to the beach. The host was so accomodating and great communicator.

Fantastic

Bach is in a Superb spot with a short walk to the beach and absolutely love the outside rooms which kids would enjoy and everything you need inside, a beautiful hot shower, lovely deck and some amazing old photos of Waihi beach and the old bits and pieces in the bach are really cool. We love the area as our grandad owned the bach across the Road and it bought back some really special memories. Come and try the place you will not be disappointed. Don't think about it just book it.
