Great place, great fishing. Only complaint is that guests should get a heads up if work is going to be done/ owner will be hanging out during a stay.

What a awesome review, we have made our home the way we would want to live. We welcome you back anytime.
This was our 1st time using VRBO, and could not have been happier with this experience. The home was beautiful, and pictures did not do this place justice. Communication from checking in to checking out was smooth. The place was super clean.

From the owner: "So happy to read your review. You're welcome back anytime."
We had a great time! The house was beautiful and clean with lots of kitchen amenities and comfortable beds. The lake was extremely quiet, peaceful, and beautiful. The beach had a sandy area for the kids to play and splash, they also enjoyed floating out to check out the lily pads and going kayaking. We enjoyed sitting out on the deck in the evenings and looking at the lake. Our kids also loved playing with the games and blocks provided while waiting for lake time. Everyone was sad to leave and the kids keep asking when we can go back. The only thing to be aware of is notice the stairs from the road down to the cottage and the slope from the cottage to the lake in the pictures. It wasn’t an issue for us but might be difficult for some to navigate.

Your words are kind and accurate. The stairs and slope is not for everyone. We learn from our guests comments and try improve.
Property is very nice, good beds, great functional kitchen.
Many provisions already there. Great pots and pans. Not the norm in many rentals. Beautiful view, nice beach and fire pit. Peaceful and restful. Good showers. Nice bedding, all areas of the house are tastefully decorated.
We enjoyed‼️ Two cons; no cable TV and the yellow melamine dishes. We were unable to watch football and season ending baseball. The yellow dishes are not very appetizing to eat off of. Upgrading these two things would add to the overall experience.

Had an amazing two weeks at this HGTV styled vacation rental.Made fun trips to nearby Gaylord, Boyne City, Walloon Lake and Petoskey.Everything was anticipated for our arrival. Much thought put in to our experience. The touches of decor made me smile every day. Beds super comfortable and new. Bathroom is spacious and so well appointed. Supplies left for laundry and all I had to buy was coffee. The beach is small and the lake had a very mucky bottom. The local club type swimming pool was used everyday. We even got to watch a pretty wedding under the pavilion with a cobblestone fireplace that ran to the vaulted ceiling. While we did not have a boat- close by is a ramp to put-in. Winter would be just as much fun with nearby ski lodges and snowmobile trails.
We have stayed at many vacation rentals and this is definitely in our top five!! The pictures online don't do it justice, it is so pretty and decorated with great taste! Cleanliness-5/5 (this is important! Kitchen, bedrooms and bathrooms were spotless! (husband said the outside grill was the cleanest he had ever seen) , location and views-5/5, comfort 5/5 (beds were so comfy and furniture was clean and comfy), Outside amenities 5/5 (loved the campfire area, we used the kayaks and canoe nearly everyday and the deck areas were perfect for sunbathing, relaxing and plenty of seating for the whole crew ), Safety and privacy 5/5 (the house was secure and, even though our kids are adults, it would be safe for younger kids, (btw- the Nintendo Switch was nice !). We ate nearly every meal at the house, loved having everything we needed in the kictchen. It is so sad to see the tree damage from the spring ice storms (praying you can all recover from that), but the area was still so beautiful and is a good central location to see lakes all around and our visit to Mackinaw Island was perfect for a day trip. We definitely would recommend this stay for a great place to truly "vacate" and have already passed this info to family members (who love fishing). Best wishes to our hosts - keep up the great work!
