This was better than the listing! The property is gorgeous. We had a peacock, turkeys, chickens, roosters and even a farm dog that my boys fell in love with! There is one TV in the house which made me really nervous because my boys love gaming. But it never even bothered them because the property was so great! If we ever make it back this way then we would definitely rent this again. Thank you so much for such a great time!!!

First, we were not informed that the only access to the property was from a gravel road. While that didn’t affect us until after we checked out, if the weather had been rainy earlier in the week, it would’ve been a major issue due to the road being very soft and muddy. Upon arrival, while looking around we noticed how little attention to detail there was in decorating, finishing, and cleaning of the property. At least half of the decor was crooked or dirty, loose floor tiles caused us to worry about how and where we walked, there was a lot of masking or painters tape still on the walls and ceiling, and there was cobwebs all over. After noticing those things we decided to look deeper into the drawers and cabinets and we were shocked with what we found. There were chewed up playing cards, wedding albums, random maintenance supplies, and mouse droppings all over the place. While I understand mice are a nuisance in the country areas, there weren’t any mouse traps or poison out to prevent them from being inside the house. On the final night of our stay, we found a mouse inside the master bedroom and were required to remove it ourselves. The property was clearly not professionally cleaned prior to our stay and we wouldn’t be surprised to find out that it wasn’t cleaned after the last people stayed there either. While it was cool to see the animals on the property in the beginning, they became more of a problem throughout the week. There was also mold in the coffee maker.
