Host never gave us access

We booked and paid a month before. And for the 5 days leading up to our stay I messaged the host asking for check in details. We arrived in Oshawa and still could not get info from the host. We ended up having to contact VRBO head office for a refund then find ourselves a place to stay. It wasn’t fun.
