Thank you for your review and for confirming that our place is a nice. It is our joy in making our guests stay lovely. Regarding the washroom on the main floor, It was stated on this listing before you booked that there are two washrooms upstairs. The property has 4 bedrooms 3 bathrooms, there is a bedroom and a bathroom on the main floor, however it was locked. It is only available for reservations with a larger group for additional fees. Apologies for this mix-up, we hope to make your experience next time 100% perfect.

This stay was unfortunately a major disappointment. We were there during a heatwave and discovered there was no air conditioning. When I inquired about it, I was told it wasn't in the listing. While that's technically true, it also wasn't stated that there wasn't any, and I had foolishly assumed a short-term rental of this caliber would have it. To make things worse, the windows on the main level didn't open. The only windows we could open were upstairs, but that just brought in a lot of noise from the ongoing construction in the area.On top of the heat and noise, the house was filled with an overwhelming number of rules. There were multiple sheets of rules posted in every single room, which made it feel more like a dorm than a relaxing vacation home. The beds and pillows were also incredibly uncomfortable, along with the heat, making it difficult to get a good night's sleep. The nightstands were not nightstands, but flimsy plastic shelves, and the soap provided in the shower was a container of hand soap and a bottle of moisturizer.We even found food left in the cupboards from a previous guest, which was unsettling. To top it all off, a neighbor left a note on our car about parking in front of their house, and the location itself was a 20-minute drive from everything we wanted to do. Thank you for your feedback, we take guest's feedback seriously as we always strife for improvement to serve our guests better. However, your bad review is not a true reflection of the services that we provided to you and your family. It is always good, to be honest.
At first, you came earlier than your check-in time when I was still getting the place ready for you. I had to quickly leave to let you in on time, which was the reason I missed unopened cereal left behind by past the guests in the cupboard, which you flagged as an issue. I am surprised how this affects your stay.
Your major complaint was about the AC, which was never included in my listing. I want to believe that you reviewed the listing before booking. So, I don't understand how this was a misinformation to you. To help with the heat, we provided 4 portable fans in the property, one for each space. This is still a new building, and we are still waiting to get the city's assessment on power rating to be able to get AC installed. This is in our plans, and we will be including AC in our listing as soon as it is approved.
You mentioned that the windows on the main level didn't open, but you never communicated that concern to us as we have always asked in our communications to you to let us know if you have any questions/concerns. This is a brand-new house, and there weren't any issues with the windows. It is just a way of rubbishing our efforts because your host is a person of color. Other guests have no issues about you, only you. The first time I met you and your family, your attitude said it all with the way you looked at me in a condescending manner, so I was not surprised. I spent hours getting the space ready for you in a very clean state with all the supplies fully equipped, yet you weren't happy.
Regarding the house rules, it is part of the host's responsibility to communicate house rules to the guests, which we did through the check-in details. We had stated that other rules to guide your stay are posted in each space of the suite. This is part of the City of Edmonton's requirements that host should post house rules in places that will be visible to the guests. This has been so helpful for other guests to guide their stay, but it was an issue for you.
I am really surprised that you would go as far as mentioning that the beds and pillows we provided are not comfortable for your stay. These are all brand-new high-end mattresses and pillows that we have been receiving wonderful feedback about how comfy and satisfied they are about them. We invested so much in our bedrooms to make guests feel comfortable; This is another flimsy excuse flagged to water down our efforts by all means possible. This is an intentional act to dissuade patronage from others.
You had mentioned that our nightstands are not nightstands. This is a short-term rental, and the host can choose to use different things that meet their design needs, provided it doesn't pose any safety concerns. These nightstands were also visible in our listing before you booked. They are sturdy, functional, and suitable for the space. Besides, they are not must-have. So I don't understand why it suddenly became an issue for you.
Our showers/bathrooms were fully equipped with shampoos, conditioners, body washes, and hand soaps. Here is another lie that we only provided a container of hand soap. Please, we would have appreciated it if you had called our attention to it. We are very responsive hosts and always try to resolve our guests' concerns promptly.
Regarding parking, we had provided instructions about parking in our check-in details, but you chose to park in front of the neighbor's house, which we are not in control of. There are parking spaces around the perimeter of the property, enough spaces to accommodate up to 7 vehicles, but you parked in a place not designated for you. You got a note on your car which you didn't communicate with us.
In all of these that you had mentioned, nothing was absolutely true. You were only looking for baseless excuses to justify your attitude, which were not your actual experience. You had nothing good to talk about the above and beyond services that we had provided because of your negative attitude.
Like I said, we are always striving for excellence. We will continue to improve our services and go above and beyond for our potential guests.

A lovely open concept, well-equipped kitchen with modern/new appliances, a large Island, and opposite a gorgeous dining space to give you and your family/business partners a memorable experience. This space also has a dedicated remote work/reading space.
The second floor boasts 3 bedrooms with 3 queen beds, 1 Baby Crib, 2 full bathrooms, and a bonus room with a 43" TV and a sofa bed to give your family/partners extra space to unwind.
There is an extra bedroom with a 43" TV, bathroom and a butler kitchen on the main floor for guests with larger group for additional fee.
