My wife and I booked the place for a week and we had an amazing. We weee looking for quiet, a place to walk around. The place is very confortable, very thoughtfully designed and decorated. The owners, Tracey and Hermann are great and very welcoming hosts. Definitely a place we will come back to. Perfect to unwind and disconnect. And paradoxically, the wifi is faster than ours downtown Toronto.

This is an excellent vacation property and very well run. Cottage is in near-new condition, very clean and very well maintained. Electrical and plumbing is brand new and decor and furnishings are well-chosen. Kitchen very well-equipped and a good sized fridge for two people for a short stay. Cozy and lots of charm. Spectacular views and very private. Cabin is at top of one of the highest points in the area, so you are looking down on the terrain and always have a nice breeze. Cabin uses well water from a 200 ft deep well and has no odd tastes or smells. Bathroom has a very well maintained composting toilet - no odours and very clean. Sinks have good water pressure. Reliable supply of hot water. Owners are very responsive and meet you when you arrive to show you how things work. No air conditioning, BUT the ceiling fan and the tower fan in the sleeping area keep the place very comfortable. Lots of screened windows give good air flow and exterior shades over the windows keep the direct sun out so it is easy to keep the temperature comfortable when it is humid and hot outside (temperatures were in the high 20 celsius when we were there and we were always comfortable). Bed mattress was very comfortable. Electric BBQ was brand new and worked very well for steak and sausage. We will definitely book this place again. Only a ten minute drive to Westport. We tried the Forno Sourdough Pizza and Bread Restaurant in Westport and it was excellent. Kudrinko's grocery store also very good.

The Longview Chalet is everything we could have dreamed -- and more. It's hard to capture precisely how charming the chalet is: the picture window wall, with elegant drapes; the cozy box bed, where you can gaze out or hide away; the library loft, to watch or read or rock; the clawfoot tub with its own window view, for a long soak on a breezy fall day. And the property! We went for several long walks and each one offered its own views and unique areas, with nothing but tree whispers and nature's quiet to keep you company. Tracey and Hermann were incredible hosts, generous enough to show us around and talk us through the unique characteristics. The compost toilet is a bit tricky if you're not used to it, but other than that ... this is a magical property that we would love to come back to.
