Walk to Raglan town and sea!

Welcome to our Raglan paradise. Our bach is comfortable with a relaxed atmosphere. It is great for family as it is fully fenced with a neighboring park and playground, a group as it is able to accommodate many, and a romantic couple on a quiet weekend away as it is self-sufficient and close to all necessary (and not so necessary) shops, cafes, restaurants markets, and boutique shops. 5 minutes walk gets you to Raglan Village and swimming and also to the Wharf in the opposite direction, Although there is only one bathroom there is an extra toilet. Come and stay here, you will not be disappointed.
Additional fees:
Duvets, blankets and pillows are provided. Should linen be required it is available at an optional NZ$15 per person). This will be an additional fee charged.
Please note: The nightly tariff is based on 4 adult guests, then additional $30.00 per person / night thereafter.
Special conditions:
Pets allowed with prior approval.

Under Kiwi bach tradition you are expected to please leave the house tidy and do the dishes before you leave.

Everything we needed

My husband and I were travelling with four growing teenage grandchildren. After days spent doing various activities this property provided everything we needed to be warm, comfortable and able to relax at the end of each day.It is a well appointed bach. Although Netflix was available, the grandchildren really liked the games area, selecting various games for evening entertainment. It was nice to have the park next door and proximity to shops and eateries is great.

Raglan getaway

Overall, the property was an excellent base to explore Raglan and the surrounds from. The property is a little older but other than that it was well kept, the beds were good and the location was excellent.

Great Location

Nice little property, within walking distance to Main Street. Was great to be able to bring our dog although will note for other users the fences are low gate can come open. All in all though we loved our stay in Raglan

Property is in a great location

The property is in a great location and had everything we needed for our girls weekend away However there is a cockroach problem that needs to be dealt with The back door to the little bedroom does not lock and had to be propped shut, probably easily fixed

Winter weekend getaway

We had a lovely relaxing winter weekend in Raglan with our two dogs. The property was so close to the beach, dog park and local cafes. Lots of nice walks and plenty of board games. Also watched the football on sky in the evening. The house had everything we needed. Taking our own linen made it feel even more like home.

Awesome family friendly bach

The best bach for a young family as the playground next door is awesome! An easy stroll to town. The bach is beautifully basic with everything you could need and uncluttered (important for toddlers who want to get into everything!). Lots of kids toys and books plus a big fancy tv. And loved that we could bring the dogs too (just note the fencing is low). Would love to come stay again

OK but not great.

Jenny the host was responsive and accommodating. The location is very good - right next to a playground and a short stroll to the village. The beds are comfortable and the overall batch size is good for a family of 5. Lots of board games for the kids, and very good wifi. Unfortunately the batch wasn't clean when we arrived (thanks Jenny for refunding the cleaning fee). It's also old, and not well maintained - it needs a refresh.

Bugs and lack of communication

Plenty of cockroaches all around the house. And we had no communication prior to the day we were checking in. Also there were no guidelines to locking up and rubbish/recycling.

Cockroach infested.

House is cockroach infested. They are even in the fridge. Absolutely disgusting. No instructions for bach to be found anywhere. Cannot use washing machine/dryer at same time. Some Electric blankets didnt work. No information anywhere about what to do with rubbish. Multiple messages to host to find basic information including check in information. Power cable running out window to an old caravan- house cannot be secured. Appliances running off old powerboards. Dangerous saggy decking, rotting floor boards. Bbq start button doesnt work. Heater worked well.

Great location.

The house is super big and warm,but would be super nice to have a dishwasher ( even a little one)Please. All the rest was perfectly working. Super handy next to the playground and I could watch my kids playing from my windows. My cat loved it too!

Comfy and well located

It was a lovely house for families to hang out out in, with a dog. Children's park just across the driveway. Great BBQ deck and living room spaces to relax in. Comfortable beds. Good heat pump for colder evenings and mornings. Only a short walk to town. I couldn't recommend it more highly.
