About this property

Modern home, great harbour views, also 3 bedroom lodge.

Modern 4 bd home sleeps 9, the house comprises of 3 bedrooms with a queen , 1 bedroom with a single over double bunk (also included is the 3 bedroom lodge!, lodge sleeps 8 plus.
The lodge comprises of 1 bedroom with a queen , 2 bedrooms with a single over double bunk , also sofa beds .

Perfect for team building /conferences, also GST registered ..Great harbour views, including the 'heads', especially from rooftop deck. Deck has new gazebo to lay in and star gaze, with Indonesian statues around house, lower covered deck off the bedrooms, including hammocks, cafe setting and large gas bbq...spa pool (DURING WINTER MONTHS ONLY)
Ample parking for up to 3-4 cars. room for a boat and trailer beside the house too .
Many world famous surf spots/kite surfing within a 5 min drive, including surf/swimming beach, with its own life guards, fun for all the family!
10-15 mins stroll to newly developed harbour, inc. cafes, pottery shops etc also only 300m to water if kayaking is your thing.
Warm relaxing vibe to the north facing house, with sun from dawn to dusk.
If relaxing at home is your thing there is always Sky tv with movies and sports channels or surf the net with free WiFi! Not to mention the hammocks under the pergola.
10-15 min walk to central Raglan.
Option to rent surfboards, boogie boards, mtb's, kayak and linen ($15 per person) if you forget it :)

The new Surfer's Lodge on the ground floor , sleeps up to 8 + people, and can be easily accessed from the house on the first floor . That also has its own Sky decoder, free WiFi and all other amenities.....this gives all your guests options, to watch a different TV channel , or quieter spot or so ?..
The Lodge is sound proofed and quite separate from the primary house, but with a few adjustments it can be easily accessed. Just ask, as I'm sure this would suit sports teams or large family gatherings, ( also I'm GST registered ,for businesses )
Two night minimum stay for weekends.
This house is a beautiful, open plan modern house and I encourage you to appreciate all that it offers. However, I do NOT want it used as a 'PARTY HOUSE', ,( NO bucks or hens nights) ,please do NOT request a booking if that's your intention.
Special conditions:
please vacate by 10am ,arrivals 4pm,unless previously organised.
Surcharge of $80 if you only book for one night.

Our group of 7 friends had a fabulous stay at this spacious property. We had a bedroom each spread over two floors, with all but one happy with the comfort level of the mattress. The kitchen was spacious and easy to work in and the three bathrooms were a bonus. Doug was very accommodating with our last minute changes in numbers and a request for early check in. We would definitely stay again.

Perfect for our large family group

Nice big house, with amazing views and enough beds to accomodate our large family group. Great open plan living and dining area with plenty of seating for all. Would definitely stay again.

The property was great for our family group including 6 little ones under 7. Lodge is actually under main house with internal stairs so no problem with security when they were sleeping & we were upstairs. Plenty of heaters including in the bedrooms (but we didn't really need them). Great open plan area for us all to hang out, roof top deck pretty cool too. Didn't notice a sound system, but we had a mini speaker so could play music.

This outing was our bookclub's first retreat. We wanted a place with enough rooms so we could all have a room of our own. Tick.We wanted space where we could relax and read. Tick.We wanted procumity to the town. Tick.The bach and the adjoining lodge is well appointed and the kitchen has ample crockery, etc for our use.Communication with the owner was excellent.We had a lovely time.Highly recommend this place.

Perfect for multiple families

We booked this for a special family weekend away. We had 3 generations and 4 groups who all were comfortably accomodated in this spacious house. Lots of space to relax and spend time together and some lovely views.

Great bach

Well suited for our weekend away. This place is organized to cater for family groups. Very good Gas stove & Boch oven. Plenty of hot water and good toilet facilities

Great place for a group

The place was clean and in a good location. We had a group of 13 and it was nice to be able to all stay together. The only downside was a few of the bunk beds were pretty uncomfortable for adults to sleep on with only a foam mattress but otherwise everything was great.

Harbour Views - Raglan

When we first stumbled upon this bach on BookaBach, it seemed almost too good to be true. There must be a catch! But everything was as perfect as it seemed online. Doug is the most thoughtful, gracious host.

 He provided us with all the information we needed. The place is just perfect! Kitchen is compact and contains everything one needs.

The beds were comfortable, bathroom and terrace are excellent. The location is incredible.

Fine, but not as great as expected.

It's a great location and amount of rooms to sleep a group of friends or family. I would not host any team building / conferences here. The balcony deck is actually seperate, on the roof of the house (9pm curfew for use). I would not classify any part of this home as modern. If you are comfortable taking a shower with cockroach friends you should be fine. The kitchen equipment is fine but not sufficient for hosting. The extractor fan isn't in working order. The house itself has zero ventilation or heat pump systems in place, and rules are stated as having to close all windows and doors after 9pm. We understand that may be for noise control in respect to neighbours, however its not livable during summer with shut windows. Generally not clean. We took our own linen, but the provided duvet covers were thilthy. Kitchen equipment and utensils very dirty. For the price and picture painted, we expected a way better, more modern experience.

Whoa cool house! Great location, easy to find and super relaxing for me and some friends visiting Raglan. Plenty of space to spread out, and an awesome view from the balcony. Modern facilities eg kitchen and bathroom. And Doug the host was super easy to communicate with, and nothing was an issue!

Big, open plan, great for entertaining large groups/conferences/team building meetings etc , all while your'e in the kitchen even for a few families to come together in one place, or business meetings, (GST registered)with two separate lounges , each with their own Sky a relaxing vibe as soon as you step inside, faces north, sun all day, large roof top deck to day dream away this while looking out over the inner harbour and undulating sand dunes in the back ground ...also a new spa to relax in, beside the lodge .
