Our Kauri colonial Cottage located at the rear of our property is almost like a Tiny House. It is surrounded by a large sunny landscaped sub-tropical garden with private access, car park and barbecue area.

COTTAGE DESCRIPTION:
One bedroom cottage with polished floors, very high ceiling and exposed beams offering astonishing large space for its 56 square-metre size. The Queen size mezzanine bedroom on the first floor is accessible by a kauri handmade staircase. The ground main level features a living room with double sofa-bed, a desk (On request), antique chairs and dresser with large flat screen TV. There is an open plan kitchenette with bar as well as a full bathroom with laundry equipment on the ground floor.
Guests may also take advantage of a private veranda overlooking the garden which features swing sofa and outdoor dining teak furniture.

BASIC FACILITIES:
1 car Parking, Netflix and Apple TV, ultra fast broadband internet, tea & coffee, access to outdoor giant trampoline, luggage drop-off facility are included in your price.

OTHER FACILITIES / SERVICES
Some features such as cot rental, early check-in, late check-out, sofa-bed linen (when used by 2 people) may come with extra cash charges depending on your type of reservation.

HISTORY:
The Cottage which stands where the original early settler's stable stood 170 year ago, was built re-using largely the timber of the old building. Horse equipment in the cottage date from 1860. This heritage property is listed as one of Auckland special character buildings.

LOCATION and SITUATION:
It's proximity to Auckland Airport and city centre gives the Cottage a near perfect location for the single businessman or woman. It is also the ideal romantic place for any couple wanting to spend a few days in New Zealand largest city. Access to Auckland CBD is only 20 minutes by train and Auckland International Airport 10 minutes using the Southern Motorway. The old village of Onehunga (Centre of Auckland 160 years ago) is just a few minutes walk.. and if you like Rugby, it is 10 minutes from the All Black 'temple' of Eden Park!
The Cottage has a large garden and enjoys a sunny and quiet location facing the Manukau Harbour villages and beaches and the surrounding are home to many native bird species.

RECOMMENDATIONS:
Once you arrive at Harbour View Cottage, you are also metres away from Jellicoe Park outdoor and indoor swimming pools and fitness centre. We recommend the 30 minute walk to One Tree Hill, the largest farm city park in New Zealand which provides the best panoramic views over Auckland and it's region.

BREAKFASTS :
Since Covid, we no longer serve cooked breakfasts. However, we can deliver on demand a pre-packed breakfast in your room before your arrival for $20.00 /person.
A free selection of miso, tea, herbal teas and coffees (Plunger, instant, Nespresso) is available in the kitchenette with fresh milk.

SPECIAL CONDITIONS:
Smoking is only allowed on the veranda outside the cottage.
Pets are generally welcome by previous arrangement and acceptance of our Pet policy and extra charges.

COVID-19:
To achieve a safer degree of safety and give you a greater peace of mind we have made significant changes to our health & Safety standards:
- Rooms are disinfected using bio agents between each reservation.
- All surfaces are cleaned with anti-bacterial products and fabric are steamed
- No-touch rubbish bins have been installed
- Gloves, masks, antibacterial wipes and soaps as well as hand sanitisers are provided free of charge

COVID-19 RECOMMENDATIONS FOR GUESTS
- Wearing face mask and observing 1m Social distancing is compulsory while interacting with hosts on the property if you are feeling symptomatic.
- Please wash your hands on each arrival from outside.
- If you are feeling unwell, please lest us know and immediately seek medical attention. Place yourself under self-isolation until you return a negative test. If positive, you must remain under self-isolation and use the Covid-19 QR Tracer located at the entrance of the cottage and on our website.
