Okataina - Means Place of Laughter

A magnificent holiday home ideally situated to capture elevated views of the lake and surrounding mountains.
Every detail has been considered at Okataina to offer guests a luxurious and relaxing stay.

The home has a spacious open plan kitchen, dining and living area with a wood burning fireplace that will keep you warm and cosy in the cooler months. The space opens up onto the large deck with stunning 180 degree views.

A well appointed kitchen with adjoining prep and scullery area is ideal for entertaining.

On the lower level you will find the master bedroom and ensuite with a luxurious freestanding bath tub to soak in after a day on the mountain. You have also got a further queen and twin bedroom and a second bathroom with shower.

The bottom level has a spacious garage with internal access and ample space for storing bikes or ski and snow board gear.

Ideally located on Goldrush Way just a short drive from the shops and restaurants in downtown Queenstown and equally close to the Frankton Shopping Centre and Queenstown airport.

As Kiwi owners living overseas, we made the decision to have our holiday house professionally managed by Harcourts. Their exclusive portfolio means that they are able to ensure everything in our home is kept up to the highest standards, and while they operate NZ office hours, they are always available to send the appropriate person around to ensure any urgent problem is fixed immediately. Having access to emergency services such as plumbers and electricians, provide peace of mind to us, so that your stay will never be compromised.

AGE OF GUESTS

Guest(s) making a booking must be over 25 years of age. Additionally, all guests who are unaccompanied by a parent or guardian must also be over 25 years of age.

MINIMUM RENTAL PERIOD

The minimum rental period for all holiday homes is 3 nights, except during Christmas and New Year Periods where a minimum of 5 nights may be required.
Guest(s) making a booking must be over 25 years of age. Additionally, all guests who are unaccompanied by a parent or guardian must also be over 25 years of age.

Check in time: the property will be available from 3:00pm on the day of your arrival
Check out time: is 10:00am on the morning of departure. Please return the key to the lock-box on check-out.

NO SMOKING POLICY -室内外禁止吸烟 -Smoking is not permitted in this holiday home, outside or in any of the common areas. Breach of this policy will result in a cleaning fee being applied to the guest who made the booking.

Our holiday homes must be left in a clean and tidy condition upon departure. Should the home require excessive cleaning over and above what is deemed reasonable, a charge of $40.00 plus gst per hour will be on-charged to the guest who made the booking. This includes but not limited to doing dishes, pots and pans, removal of rubbish, cleaning the oven after use and the BBQ.

As our holiday homes are all non -serviced we provide complimentary consumables sufficient for the first 2 days of your stay such as toiletries, toilet paper and soap.
The other condiments, spices etc in the pantry cupboard are for your use but are not intentionally provided. Feel free to use what you need but it would be appreciated if you could replace or leave something similar when you leave.

RUBBISH - We kindly ask that you dispose of the rubbish correctly. If rubbish is found on your departure which is not in the correct bins provided, any disposal and sorting costs incurred will be on-charged to the guest who made the booking.

As residential homes you are asked to respect quiet hours between 10pm and 7am. The number of occupants is as per the reservation and may not be increased without approval from Harcourts Property Management. Increased occupancy, excessive noise or illegal activity may result in penalty charges and eviction and forfeiture of all prepaid rental monies.

DAMAGES /NEGLIGENCE
We accept that breakages and accidents do happen, the person who made the booking is responsible to report any breakage to Harcourts Property Management and Rentals.

Fantastic position between airport and Central Queenstown. Lakeside walk took 35 mins. New property with amazing views. Living on the top floor with bedrooms underneath, garage on the bottom. This has everything you would need. We had beautiful weather so a bit warm but living area has air conditioner. Bedrooms just fans but it wasn’t too hot. Would definitely recommend this property. We will be back.

Overall experience is good but could be better.
Things I like: -excellent location, equally handy to the airport and town centre. -Fantastic mountain/lake view -Good sized and well equipped kitchen( even chopsticks are provided) -A range of games to keep the whole family entertained before bedtime. One thing I am not satisfied with is not having fresh clean towels. We had to keep using and reheating our used towel throughout our 6 night stay here, hence I give a overall rating of 4.
