About this property
Modern home near cafe, wetland walkway/cycleway
A cosy family style home close to the city centre with a large garden. This is used often as our second home, so has some clothes in wardrobes and family photos on walls. You will enjoy the peaceful outlook into the wetland and treed hill.
There is a great shopping centre at Bethlehem, 5 minutes drive away. Saturday morning, there is an excellent Farmers market in 4th Avenue. Plenty of choice of outdoor activities close by, including golf at Tauranga Golf club, Fernland Spa, and the very popular HOBBITON 40 minutes away at Matamata. BOOKINGS ARE ESSENTIAL for this world-renowned tourist attraction. The TECT all-terrain park on the Rotorua road offers great mountain biking, as does Oropi Grove Bike trail. You can walk or cycle extensively from the nearby wetland area which also includes a lovely childrens' playground.
The beaches and harbour at Mount Maunganui offer fishing, surfing, swimming and boat cruises. Please use beach towels supplied. We recommend Oropi hot pools which has a licensed cafe for meals including dinner.
Special conditions:
There are 2 additional fold out beds if booked for more than 6 people. We are in a quiet residential neighbourhood, so no loud music, no parties and no additional guests. Quiet time outdoors after 10pm. No smoking indoors. Remove shoes on entering the house. WIFI password supplied with keys and instructions inside.

I enjoy sharing my home and having people enjoy the peaceful, quiet, almost rural surroundings, while being 7 minutes drive from the city. I was a nurse for many years, so am used to dealing with people from all walks of life. As well, Wayne and I have travelled extensively overseas and speak and understand a little Italian and French.

It's a comfortable home and extensive garden and parking area in a quiet street with a private rural outlook, even though it is close to major shopping areas.
